Even driving a PT Loser couldn't bring down my spirits in "The Summer of Jeff". This summer the planets are aligned, the birds are chirpping, and mother nature is taking care of #1 (me).
I'm not even being selfish... things are just falling in place for "The Summer of Jeff". I've only worked 32 hours since June 26th.
In "The Summer of Jeff" funny glasses are optional... I chose to wear these. Not because my eyesight is going. It is. Not because it brings out all the colors of the rainbow. It does. It's because, anytime I can look at Sandra's chest with 3-D glasses it's always an added bonus. Who wouldn't want a charmer like this in their lives?
I've been to quite a few ballgames, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Erie, Batavia, basically the four corners of the world. Here's Zach getting Tom Gorzelany's autograph. Piittsburgh, Zach's favorite team, lost both games to the Rockies when we were there. The Dippin' Dots were very good.
I've also gone international this summer. I had a great time at Watkins Glen International Raceway. Ricky Rudd (my favorite driver) unfortunately didn't fiinish the race, but we shared a fried bologna together during lap 85 when his car came in after electrical failure. Here's a pic of Ricky's 88 Snicker car calling in his order with everything on it. What a great guy. He just recently announced he's retiring at the end of the season. I guess I need a new driver now. Stewart... Truex???

I am PROUD to be the first to enter a comment here, and with the admission of the number of hours "worked" in the last two months, I think that says it all. And to think that I am retired and look in awe at the lad 20 plus years my junior, who is living the life that all of us geezers would love. Keep up the good work!!
sigh, that was a wonderful panoramic view of what Jff, has accomplished in the summer of '07.
I wish my resume was as lengthy!
And there are still 2 weeks left, of fun and frivolity!
Thanks for posting nephew, it brightened up my dreary day at the keyboard!
WOW! That is really something to look forward to and to think I was content with my 3 little vacation days.
What a slow day at the office. The only phone call I received was a wrong number!
glad to hear you've been able to a little something for yourself this summer jeff. Me, i'm just sittin here watching the LLWS. I put a grand on Japan to win it all. Is it wrong to bet on 12 year olds?
Jeff, I am envious of your summer. It has motivated me to get out in the world and see things. SO, Gram and I are going to the library and Mudds.
Thrillie, I tried calling you but I was told I had the wrong number. Oh shucks!
Is it wrong, you ask? I say, NO! It's just adds a lil' spice to our lives swearing at 12 year olds on the TV for fouling up a double play. They can't understand english, it's ok.
Editor's note: I may be exaggerating the 32 hours worked a bit, but just a bit. It only seems like that to me in my wonderfully created, made up world I live in.
I called you too Thrllie, but someone hung up on me. It mmay have been Gary... my dad Gary, not your BF.
A rainy wed...
My world is so much better when I am working on a project, I agree with KDH, a list, a list provides organization, purpose, direction.
So here goes:
1. work
2. lunch
3. home
4. work at home
5. bed
I think that needs some punching up?
Enjoy Wed everyone, because we all know what happens tomorrow!!!!!
What happens tomorrow? I was thinking of the Bisons game, but now I'm nervous. I didn't even get a wrong number yesterday. Sheesh!
What's going on tomorrow? I'm at a total loss. Who is that anonymous person giving us a heads-up to tomorrow? Are we all going to get it? What are we getting?
Is tomorrow Christmas?
It's tomorrow, it's starting to storm, it is definitely NOT xmas, and I am really nervous. What is going on??????
Does whatever happens tomorrow (which is now today) happen in Atlanta too? Now I'M nervous!
Well...it is today...so does that mean today or tomorrow?
Did I miss it? What happened? It's still today, has it yet to happen?
The day is here!! Did it happen to everyone today?
I don't think that it happened, unless of course you are counting an apparent lightning strike that knocked out our computer and blew the tv set for the second time in 6 months. How did anonymous know that was going to happen?
I barely avoided a meteor shower while I was out at lunch today. Other than that nothing happened yesterday.
Sorry to hear aout the TV again Unkie and Auntie, now you'll miss the YES Network and the Yankees surge to first place in the AL East. Plus, I think they're repeating Thurman Munson on Yankeeography this week. I'll tape it for you.
Happy Friday Family!
I layed low yesterday because of the ominous "tomorrow" gloom and doom soothsayer!
So I am happy to say nothing as catastrophic happened in my world that happened in UC world, but maybe that is what the powers that be do to red sox fans??? Blow up there TV. I concur with Nephew, we will tape all and any YES Network productions til you are back up and running, that is the least we can do!
KDH, I think HOTlanta is spared from just about everything but Ted Turner!
Bills game tonite, anyone going??
enjoy the day, do what puts a smile on your face!
I got presents under the tree yesterday so I guess it just happened to me...
I just hope that nphw jff did not return from the Doubledays game and turn on the Yankees last nite. It was kinda hard to see on the 12" tv that we are using, but it looked like the Yanks lost a tough one at 3:30 in the yawn-m. Did watch a bit of the Bills and I suspect that I will wind up with their defense on fantasy draft day. That is the way that things have been going. Stay cool all.
We had a great night at the Doubledays game yesterday, arriving at 6PM we were fortunate enough to catch the front end of a double header. The "DoubleDays" took the first one 4-1 and then we left after the third inning in the second game (but, they were up). I loved the smack talk of the PA chastising the Muckdogs and calling out there front office as cowards. That got the crowd going.
I had a few Blonde Ales and the kids ate everything on the menu. Our waitress was very good and honest, she returned a dollar to me citing she charged too much. Bless her lil' soul.
Just a reminder: chowder party 3PM
Buster and Belle got married today at Dunn Tire park after the Bisons game today.
Started an entry before but got interrupted by fantasy football draft time. Glad to hear that nphw had a safe and fun trip to Falcons park, but all of the trash-talking made it sound like a WWE event more than baseball. We are doing a good job of attending minor league bb here in NYS. Our next quests will be tri-cities and hudson valley. Pretty quiet out there. Where is everyone?
I am here! I have been busy with softball tryouts this weekend.
I am prepping up for the chowder party! Yes, I am bringing my bathing suit so I can sit in the hot tub! Hope you don't mind!
Well here it is!!! The day has finally arrived!!! And it only took 364 days to get here!!!
Happy Birthday, Nephew O mine!
I hope this finds you feeling fine!
May God Bless and Keep all those who are dear
And May the Yankee's win the penant this year!
Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Spent saturday with gramma, did all her errands, did a little shopping, she seemed like she enjoyed her day. Then Georgie and I went to the Bison's game! Very Fun
Kei Igawa sat in the section in front of me, with his interpreter, I told him to get his act togother.
But I did not say it in Japanese so he probably did not understand me.
Anywhoo it was a great nite at the ball park! And the Earl of Bud was resurected! Just a lot of fun, everyone should spend there down time at the ball park!
Anyone going to hear bill clinton tonite? Yea, me neither!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFFREY!
I think it is safe to say I know you will enjoy your day!
Chowder??? When is there chowder?
Just an FYI, Gary, Jill's BF not mr fixxitt has never had chowder.
He has been warned to not call it soup!
Hello Family! It was Jeff's B-day yesterday? Happy belated cuz. I spent my weekend calling the Rice house to return their tent. Nobody is ever home over there.
I am only working a 4 day work week, don't be jealous jff. Friday a.m. I am off to NYC to see the Yanks take on Tampa Bay!

anonymous---you are hilarious!!! That was, without a doubt, the best collection of daily events I have ever seen. I don't care if they are all legitimate or not. You worked Renee Richards in, that is all that matters. Played golf at Holland Hills this morning and holed out from 120 on a par 5 for an eagle 3.I only wished that I could have saved it for next tuesday against my nephews. The good Gary can callit soup if he wishes, it will elevate the level on conflict a bit,. We need some of that. Have never had a hole in one, except for my socks. Have a good one all.
Seats with Kei, did that cost me 40 mill Igawa? That is in pretty impressive territory. 40 mill is not schobel or vanek money, but still pretty impressive.
Happy Birthday Jeffie! We are hitting up the Boston Hotel for the "cheap" (Gary--dad not BF Jill's favorite word) eats at night. Will be in the bar at 8 if anyone wants to join us--Jff would love it!
Thank you one in all... (Today is my birthday Thrllie). ... and I'm home (well, now anyway)
So far I'm having an awesome 41st birthday month and we had a wonderful birthday weekend in Auburn (at Falcon's Park) and then yesterday at the Bisons game.
I sure would have like to seen that eagle yesterday. I hit one (and only one) many moons ago at Brighton. It brought a smile to my face.
My birthday continues tonight at the Boston Hotel on Genesee Street.
Come one, come all. 8PM.
Come on Adm and KDH, surprise me.
I am ON MY WAY! happy birthday cuz jff!
Thank you so much for the invite, I am there! Picking up georgie from Degraff at 8PM.
Invited Thrillie and Gary, not sure if they will come for a cocktail or not?
KDH, I can swing by the airport and pick you up if like?
Should I call gramma??? mmm no, maybe next time
Happy Birthday, dear Jeff...our 1st born nephew!! We were so happy to become an antie & an Unkie and still are.
Aww I wonder if they make Hallmark cards with that saying??
My parents are still not back yet from the night at the Boston hotel. I wonder if they really went out for Jeff's birthday or just went to a hotel. To be continued.............
Thanks Auntie P. Have a safe trip to Boston. Give Ollie a luvin' squeeze for us.
Had a most enjoyable evening with nephew and his lovely wife, susan and neighbor cy.
Evening the Yankee shallacking could not put a damper on our birthday celebration!
KDH, I missed you, were you at the bar???
Its Tuesday, folks.
Are the potatoes cut up for the chowder yet?
Sorry nphw, got so distracted that I forgot to wish you the most happy of birthdays, so I will be the first to wish you a happy 41 + 1 day. Hope that you enjoyed your evening. Does this mean that the "summer of jff" is officially over, or will it continue for the foreseeable future. On an angrier note, will someone please shut Steve Phillips up? He keeps predicting that the Yankees won't make the playoffs and the Cubs will. I hope that the socks have all of the wooden stakes sharpened, but I fear a result much like last year's five gamer in Fenway. Maybe I will watch the game tonite. Have a goodone all.
i really thought the spankees would pull out a win for you on your bday jff. Sorry about that. at least the game was close..
I cried a little yesterday... 16-0? Ouch!
But, then my clams came and everything was right in the world again.
Tough loss for the Bisons last night. We did get see a lot of homers, unfortunately by the wrong team. Great night for baseball last night, the moon was a huge. Where's Mars?
Enjoyed the game with the Rice's and "that old guy". (Little inside joke from the ballpark). Enjoy your Wednesday as I am heading into work. Thrillie on her way to Ithaca for work. Drive safe!
DeGraff Day in Dunn Tire, was a splendid success!!Most enjoyable Birthday part II celebration with nephew and his wonderful family.
BEAUTIFUL nite in the ball park!
If you missed the moon, well you missed it!
Lotz of dingers, as stated but not so many by the good guys
Enjoy Wed all!
Andy Pettite 6-0! for August!
Count down to chowder, 99, 98,97...
I HATE Andy Pettite! I am also starting to hate the fat kid Jobba too. I can only hope that the guy pitching today remembers that he is closer to 50 than to 40. Anyhow, the hate keeps me going. Thrillie in Ithaca? Been awhile.
Hating Andy Pettite??? That rates right up there with calling chowder, soup!
Joba!!!
How can you hate Andy Pettite? No one wears a cap lower.
It is Thursday family, do you hear me its thursday!
Not a big fan of thursday as it is a day I try to get alot done so I can leave early on Friday..
Excited for our chowder party!
Who is picking up gramma, notit!
have a great thursday all
Thank God that there was 2004. Ever notice how Roger and Giambi look exactly alike from behind, "build" and all? You don't think? No, of course not. All 46 year olds throw no=no's for 5 innings w/o any kind of enhancement. Right? Yanks-Sox this afternoon and Bills-Lions tonite. My hope is that Buff. has what might been seen as remotely resembling a scoring drive, and that someone on the defense tackles someone, somewhere, sometime. That would constitute a successful evening. There, I have vented and feel much better. Enjoy the day all.
Had to go to Ithaca for work yesterday. Nice little college town, lots of hippies too.
Today is my Friday because tomorrow morning I am on my way to New York City to catch a beloved Yankees game!!!!
See everyone Monday for the Chowder Party! I promise Gary, my BF, won't call it soup.
I had to come up and do something to limit my frustration. Yesterday the hormone hophead, today the guy who shouldn't even be in the country if we enforced our immigration laws. where will it all end?
WWWAAAIIITTTT JJJIIIILLLLL...we need the air mattress for Rick (the quiet one ) and Stac y.
