Am I ever glad that i checked tonite. this allows me to be proud first to respond but unfortunately I am speechless. And I thought that the hats were confined to my father. Glad to see someone has picked up the torch. Happy birthday a bit early. Enjoy it now that you are closer to 45 than 40

I was happy to assist Sndra in her first ever blog. Then, when I saw the picture, it could not have been posted fast enough!
Jff how many Scooby doo party hats do you have avail? Can I borrow some for Saturday?

jt said...

Not exactly sure what the second hat is for? You'd think one would be enough.

Thanks everyone.

THAT is a beautiful picture that sums up my cuz Jff's personality perfectly. Except the beer is absent from his hand.

Hope you have a great birthday jff -- drink a cold one for me and the little one!

Happy Birthday Jeff! Have fun in Cooperstown.
Looks like the weather is looking a little better for Saturday. But we will probably still get rained on.

Here's hoping that storm Danny and whatever stay away from all of the partiers and vacationers this sat. We will be heading out early in the AM tomorrow but thinking of everyone on Sat. I keep awaiting the fixxitts to acknowledge their firstborn son's birthday on the blog. Way to go nphw jff. Enjoy your day and all of the baseball festivities downstate.

Check out America's funniest home videos, you may catch a glimpse of us putting up the tent. Luckily Jll and Aunt Sue saved the day, took the directions and placed it perfectly in the backyard; as Mom, Dad, and I looked on.

We're back from our Oneonta/ Cooperstown mini-trip. On Thursday night the Brooklyn Cyclones beat the Oneonta Tigers 4-3 on SUNY Oneonta alumni night (Sandra made us move to the visitors side, the Oneonta alumni were getting on her nerves). We had a wonderful time at the game in the quaint old Damaschke Stadium, went back after the game for a swim and then nighty night. The next day we drove up to the Ommegang Brewery for a tour and a taste and then on to the hallowed grounds of Cooperstown. I showed the kids Doubleday Field and we played a search for answers game in the museum and "Great Hall" of the HOF. After completing 12 searches and answers the kids received a pack of baseball cards, pretty cool and we had loads of fun.

Now the EP can begin. Unfortunately, I may not be able to do the toast as the florist arrived to deliver the flowers, and I began to cry, as did George.

Thank you to the Holtz family for the beautiful center piece!

You have been on our minds and in our hearts all day. We finally arrived at a Holiday Inn in Virginia and thanks to their computer we can tell you how much we miss being at the party. If it's any consolation, it's raing here also> Party On!!

Thanks to everyone for making this EP one for the ages! Our day did not start out so good as the thunderstorm took down our tents and tarps at 6AM. But we perservered and by 11 the skies had cleared and the sun came out! We did loose a bouquet of mylar baloons which quickly became entangled in the power lines, (shades of the great ralph wilson blackout)! We also suffered through an attack of yellow jackets, a broken mirror, and someother missteps, but all in all a great party was had by all! Thanks to my sister and Sndra! They were an amazing supporting staff!
blog tomorrow!

Working on a blog but it is not allowing me to place the pictures where I want them. So I gave up for the time being.

Thank you to everyone for all your help, and for making it such a special day for Jill and Gary. We had such a wonderful time!

Talked to Mom last nite and it sounds as if we missed a great bash. Glad that everyone had a great time and the weather cooperated. The cold front that passed thru wny has decided to sit over the outer banks for awhile and the weather is not promising but a bad day at the beach is still better than..(you know, that four letter word that starts with w and ends with k). Enjoy

I wonder if my brother is aware that there is a new yankeeography tonite, and the subject is George Steinbrenner, being shown with limited commercial interruption. maybe I should call him?

My mom is home from Kenmore Mercy & feeling much better--after a gazillion tests they still have no clue as to why she hit the deck! So, of course, worried it might happen again...

Ooh sounds a bit warm for me. Have fun!

Fun Bisons game today, 3-3 after 9 that's when we left. The sun, beer, and family were top notch. The kids sat by themselves out of the sun and Mr. Fixxit, Sandra, and I took on the sun... armed with Labatt Blue we were ready for anything.
