And we have a dinner date for tomorrow. She heard from family near and far today, and was very excited for tomorrow..So happy birthday Mom, and may you have many more!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA! Austin and I decorated the 2nd floor last night; with streamers, banners, etc. Everyone came out to see what was going on except for Gram! Thank you to Austin for his hard work!

Hey! A new blob! Nice job, nice pictures, and a great subject to boot. Happy Birthday Gramma, we love you. May this year be your best.

What no mention of Terry Pegula taking over the Sabres???

jt said...

You just did.

I'm very excited about the new regime.

Just returned from anastasia's birthday dinner, and oddly enough she was not the oldest person there!
had a very good time, and she is on cloud nine. Austin figured out today that when he is 21 GG will be 100 and he can have a beer with her! Its good to have goals!

Can someone let my brother know its 9 degree's here?

jt said...

Brrrrrrr... car read 3 degrees this mornin'. I just wanted to go back inside and curl up with a hot totty and a book.

Glad GG had a nice dinner last night. That's absolutely classic that Austin wants to have a beer with GG.

Zach and I went to Shrek the Musical last night at the expense of Emma who was home sick with the flu. She was throwing up all day. Poor little thing wanted to go SO BAD last night.

jt said...

Emma's better. She had quite the appetite last night at dinner... it was good to see.

I guess a storm is a brewin'. Stay off the roof Unckie.

Betsy said...

So glad to hear that Emma is better! And very sorry to hear that she missed Shrek the musical, maybe she could just read the book?
Could someone let my brother know that gas is 3.37$ a gal, and a storm is coming?
I know he likes to keep up on WNY news while he is traveling!

Jnna said...

So I hear there is a storm coming! Any word from the Travelers? Hope everyone enjoyed the 40 degree temps. Drive safe tomorrow.

Betsy said...

Hip Hooray its Friday! Just peeked out the window, and the snow has started to fall, drive careful all!
Hey at least its friday
Sabres play tonight, Oscars this weekend, lots going on!
First grapefruit league game on YES on Saturday..
The list is endless of what to do!

jt said...

Nasty, nasty driving into work this morning.

I wish gas was still $3.37, it's $3.49 at the Sunoco on the corner of Maple and North Forest.

A lot going on this weekend indeed. I have to pick up a chair on Saturday at 10 AM... Mr. Fixxit's instructions.

Heard from Antie and Unkie only limited details about their trip. Here's what I know -- they're in Vegas, Dad took a side trip to play golf in Death Valley, and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. They were awfully scanty on the details of how they're spending their days, and mom keeps claiming she can't remember?

I think all signs point to a good trip for them.

Spring has sprung in Atlanta -- bulbs are blooming, trees are pink, and Jefferson started tee-ball on Wednesday. Eric is the coach, I'm the "team mom". Still working out the responsbilities entailed in that position -- I think its mostly snack-oriented.

... and juice boxes.

Your mom can't remember anything? Hmmmm...

Always good to get back to WNY where the first order of business is to snowblow the driveway to get the car in the garage. what the h-e-double hockey sticks was going on last week. Talked to Mom on her birthday and she was as giddy as a 9 year old. Sounds like you guys gave her a great day. Love the goal Austin has set. So much more to comment on, but bedtime calls.

Happy Birthday AP! And I see the sun is out in your honor!
Enjoy your day!
I have set an all time personal best for shoveling the driveway and the front walk, 15 minutes! Story of my life, as winter winds down I have become more efficeint!
As KDH blogs about t ball, and blossoms we are still shoveling, sigh.... enjoy your spring K, and tell Jefferson to keep his eye on the ball..
hope everyone has a great day
Took Anastasia to the library yesterday, and she was none to pleased with the remodel. It seems they put the audio books in the farthest corner of the library?
They might want to re think that one? Not sure why they would do that? As hearing impaired are geared to elderly also. She was clearly annoyed with that change!

JNNA said...

A special Happy Birthday to AP!! I hope you enjoy your special day.
T Ball started! That sounds like a great blog idea... Good Luck Jefferson!
How about them Sabres?

jt said...

Happy belated birthday Auntie P!!! I hope you enjoyed your day.

Baseball was on TV all weekend... I was loving it.

although auntie has not yet responded, I can say that she had a most pleasant birthday celebration. Certainly driving my golf cart and fetching me clubs would be all that anyone would really want for her birthday. Snow is melting and baseball is on the tube. Can Spring be far behind?? Did hear that GG got a special birthday dinner treat at the Grapevine. Any truth to that?

Betsy said...

happy tuesday, march 1st, no less!
Yes bro, gg did get a birthday dinner at the grapevine!
Heres hoping the new Sabre brings some much needed scoring to the team
enjoy they day, all

I've been around awhile now and it's still odd to see 2/28 jump to 3/1... just seems like somethings missing.

Sabres/ Rangers tonight!
Remeber when I used to root for the Rangers?
GO SABRES!!!

I had a most excellent birthday although my throat is still a bit sore from yelling FORE! as Unkie's shots went astray. Isn't that what agood caddie does?

jt said...

LOL
That's a funny picture.

So, Zach comes into the bedroom this morning at 7AM, wakes us up and asks why we didn't wake him.
7AM!!!
Rats! His ride in going to be here in 5 minutes and I have to leave in 15 minutes.
Hustle, hustle, grumble, grumble, a few "I don't knows" and Zach took the bus today and I made to work on time.
Why did I turn off the alarm clock?

betsy said...

AP, glad you had a great birthday!
great visual, you yelling fore! Were you in golf attire? just curious
Hate oversleeping to nephew, where was jeter, isnt that his job to keep everyone on schedule?
Or have mr fixxitt call you every AM. His schedule is flexible
great sabres game last night, dare we hope!

jt said...

Jeter was taking advantage of the extra hour that I gave him and spending time ON the couch. There was a lot of hair on it this morning.

Excellent suggestion having Mr. Fixxit call me EVERY morning to make sure I'm up. I really would like to revisit my youth and that's the perfect spot to start.

jt said...

Fantasy baseball is in full gear at the Rice household. I've got my study cap on, my Guinness and I'm ready to rock and roll.

Betsy said...

Took GG out last nite to celebrate what would have been Grampa's 93rd birthday! We all raised a glass!
Enjoyable evening out, and I am sure she had a grand time eating her half of chicken sandwich and taking the rest home!
My sister and I are in full road trip mode! Planning, mapping, scheming, making reservations, packing, shopping, mmmm actually I have not talked to her in awhile, I need to call her!
enjoy thursday

adam said...

and where are we roadtripping to? Hopefully Boston for your grandneice and nephews birthdays???

Betsy said...

Adam! where have you been? Did you survive this brutal winter? How are Amy, Oliver, Audrey and Lucy? We have missed you since our new year lunch! Hope all is well? Your aunt and I are off to Philadelphia for the Philadelphia Horticulture Show next week, but you know what I have called her off and on all morning with no answer? So maybe she left with out me?

unk said...

Heading to Albany today to meet up with the Quincy Holtzes for a little swimmin' and visitin'. Looking forward to lots of hugs and kisses from the big O and miss Audrey. Enjoy the weekend all.

jt said...

Have a fun and safe trip to Albany and give them hugs from all of us.

Tough loss for the Sabs last night, they played well.

Zach has volleyball practice tonight. That's not really a funny line or quote is it?

Betsy said...

I love volleyball, have fun!
Travel safe Holtz's! Enjoy the weekend!
me, well I hear gg has to go to the store, I have to get my oil changed??? Other than that, I believe it will probably just be a weekend of listening to the sump pump go on, as it is raining cats and dogs!
stay dry
