On May 4, 2011, Kristen and Eric ran off to Vegas and got married! It was a great day full of love and laughs. But family is oh so important to us, so we're having a big picnic party to celebrate and we want YOU there! Look in your email and mail for the invitation to the social event of the season -- the Holtz-Twombly Shotgun Showdown Hoedown* on Saturday, June 18, 2011.
* No shotguns allowed, please. And there's not likely to be a showdown, unless its on the ball field. There will definately be a hoedown. Despite its inaccuracy, the H-T SSH is a great name for a fun, informal, tongue-in-cheek wedding celebration for a couple who has been together forever and has two kids with two on the way!

Guests in the chapel -- simultaneoulsy the most pregnant and the most clothed. Some of those wedding dresses were a little ... skimpy. There was a also a bride working the phones trying to find her groom. I wanted to stick around to see how that played out, but Eric had a steak to eat.
License -- cash or credit card or casino chips -- and they don't hand the license over until everything clears. It was the only government office I've every been to with business hours of 7am to midnight!
Elvis -- YES, you better believe Elvis sang AND signed our marriage certificate as a witness!
Names -- once a Holtz, always a Holtz. Just like before, I'm Kristen Holtz, and he's Eric Twombly. The kids are technically Holtz Twombly, but they'll go by Twombly at school and stuff.
M&D -- poor mom and dad with all the surprises! They're great -- no more guys, I promise, no more!
So your dad can start to breath again? He'll appreciate that.

A new blog and 12 posts in less than 2 hours. Pretty impressive I say. Themed? Candyland? Given the location at richardson's, that would be safer than JT's usual "furry woodland creatures" which might cause shots to be fired from the neighbors. And I will be holding darling daughter to that promise of no surprises, at least for a little while.
