A Turkey Weekend Blob

Touchdown Bulls!!! One of many on the afternoon.
Turkey Bowl 2011, beautiful weather and we won the game in a defensive, wind impeding struggle 2-1. I only threw two interceptions this year. Hard to believe, but true.
Pretty decent crew for this year's game. As you can see, Zach is just about as big as everyone else now.

First to comment. Thank goodness that nphw jff takes the time to update our blog. Looking back to 2005 with like 60 different blogs that year. This year?? Good to see that some people are still doing fun things.
Thanks Jff for picking up my slack and blogging! I lead a boring life and I havent done many blog worthy things! I'm still trying to catch up from my black Friday shopping experience!
No problem at all. It's good to see family popping in and with an update into their busy lives. I have to apologize for not making an appearence this year at Thanksgiving... we just didn't have enough time. I am sorry.
Great job nephew! thank you for keeping the blog moving along!
Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving! Ours was stupendous, the food was yummy and the company divine!
The weather could not have been better!
tied at the half, what do you think?
Can we do it??
its back to the grind tomorrow UGH!
I have to admit that I have never seen a chain of events such as led to the tying touchdown. A stupid penalty leads to the screwed up kickoff, which they almost recovered, and then the TD. Snakebit? Aaron Maybin looks like the second coming of Reggie White. What does the second half hold? Gotta love the line dancing gekko. Auntie laughed out loud at that one
Happy Monday!
As Nov comes to an end, lets re cap.
I have not shoveled once! Not once.
Which is good enough for me!
The bills, how many ways can they say disappointing!
On the other hand, I baked a ham for anastasia, and she was thrilled with our Sunday dinner!
Heard the story of the deer, and am very happy no one was hurt!
Enjoy the day and all that it brings!
Quincy, Hotlanta, all is good?
Good "Cyber Monday" morning, I hope everyone is well.
Sandra and I were in the Black Friday mix... not, we did not encounter anyone with pepperspray, but the line at Dave and Adam's was pretty long.
Incredible, the Bills lose a game that the Jets basically were giving to them.
Have to make a "ham and banana run" to Tops before work today with a stop at Luther Manor. Talked to Mom last nite and she raved about her weekend, thanksgiving dinner, back for leftovers on friday, and ham and scallops on Sunday. What happened to Sat??? I wish I lived closer to 431 to take advantage of all of the great food bargains. Can we do something about the blog pix? The first thing that I see each time I go to the blog is THAT HAT. Can't we airbrush it out? Enjoy the monday, and Auntie please no more comments about the lack of you know what.
Looks like me and nphw jff were pretty much on the same schedule
Great minds think alike. Or... think about the same time?
That's an all-season hat... just a reminder that spring is just around the corner.
Rumor has it that the Red Sux trainers were drinking with Lester, Lackey and Beckett. They convinced them it was a miracle elixir.
The Babe would be smiling.
LOL!!!!
Now thats funny!
Now why would you need to run to Tops when she was visiting with us and we easily could have stopped??
brutal!
There was also a bank stop in there and you know that she loves to, as she says, "share the joy" as far as taking care of what needs to be done. It was no big deal. I had a late start today and we got a chance to visit a bit after the stops. And she did let me know that I had best not plan anything for the Feb. break since there was a very important birthday coming up. Suffice to say she has expectations. I told her we had a bash at 90 and the next was for 100. I don't think that was the answer she wanted.
Happy rainy tuesday!
Now that my bro has brought it up, anyone have any suggestions for the 95th??? I always told her, that her 95th would take place in San Antonio, and I dont think that can happen.
But everyone put on your thinking caps and come up with a birthday bash idea!
enjoy the second last day of Nov!
Okay, birthday idea #1.
How about we come dressed as our favorite 1917 character?
Here's some random 1917 information:
The Red Sox sell Smokey Joe Wood and his arm dead at 26, to Cleveland for $15,000.
Just an idea for you Red Sox fans.
Who is a prominent 1917 character?
Mata Hari??
What else happened in 1917, the Russian Revolution, maybe that could be our party theme!
The works of Tolstoy and Lenin could be displayed. Now thats a fun party, my nephew always thinking!
I am going to dress up as Raggedy Ann!
I was leaning toward Woodrow Wilson, but I think that might clash with Raggedy. I guess that I will have to keep thinking on this.
Should we come dressed as our favorite communist?
Who's taking Obama?
Well browsing through the list of inventions in 1917; I found that with the exception of the zipper and SOS pads; gram has outlived most inventions.
I still use both of those items. I'm a huge fan of the zipper...
It's cold in Buffalo.
It was the last year of the National Hockey Association or the NHA before it formed into the NHL; I think I'll come dressed as old Montreal Wanderer hockey player Art Ross. I think he was the only player to wear a bowler (on his head) during the game. The ladies loved him.
battling a cold and I do not want to be at work!
But 4 weeks to christmas, we have to forge ahead right??
I am surprised my nephew did not pick up on the comment, that I said maybe we should come dressed as our favorite communist, and my brother said, who is coming as Obama???
This weekend, I am planning on finishing up whatever I started last weekend and did not finish
Get through Friday!
Obama's a communist! I get it. Thank god my father is a social studies teacher and can fill young minds with such useful information!
Hip HIp Hooray, Adam commented today!
Hope all is well with our Quincy family???
Re: Obama as a communist. I get all of my political info from the emails that my right wing friends send to me. I know that they would never try to mislead anyone, least of all me. As I look out the window, Is this our first measurable snow of the season? I got an email from Buffalo Tournament Club golf and they are supposed to be open this weekend and I have plans to play. This snow had better stop soon. Sorry to hear that AB is ailing. Get well soon.
The BTC? What time are you golfing at on Saturday?
I didn't want to get anyone mad at me with a political poke or prod, so I left that one alone. I think I'm maturing in my old age.
If Unckie's not dressing as Woodrow Wilson I'd like to claim that one if I could... I think it'll be a nice fit as Sandra will be coming as Helen Herron Taft... who knew Sanra was a fan.
Since snow currently covers the ground out my way, i am going to have to make a phone call to see if the BTC people are indeed serious. Am I to assume that my nphw has not yet put away his clubs?
Bro the sun is out, the snow will be gone by 11! trust me
It will be a perfect saturday to golf!
If I was a golfer, I would be out on the links..
I think the Sabres were a better team when they ran on a shoestring budget! Pittiful game last nite!
Unkle Ralphy can not be bothered to buy the 12,000 remaining tickets, yet the taxpayers of WNY are expected to cough up 100 million in renovations to the stadium that bears his name! OUCH
I would have voted for herman cain, just saying....
A sunny saturday in Dec, how did we get so lucky!
For today, Good Bills? Evil Bills? Only time will tell. Maybe we will sit outside with the radio and pretend we are at the stadium.
What is it??? Like 54 degrees outside... what is all of this talk of snow?
Sandra's singing in Vespers tonight at church, 4 and 7.
Can't figure out why my comment came up Kristen. She obviously was not sitting outside listening to the Bills. Then again, neither was I. Guess we know which group of bills showed up. Auntie is on her way to Atlanta to baby sit and I will be following tomorrow. Can't wait to see the little ones. Rainy ride in this morning. Enjoy.
Are you hacking in to your daughter's account? Should that bring on an Holtz investigation?
Bad Bills.
Holtz investigation! Cookie can you lead the investigation?
I have been thinking long and hard about a pirate gift. I'm thinking of something creative. Something that no one has done before. Does anyone have any ideas? Oh, lint brushes? Whatever happened to that idea? Maybe we should roll with it. Get it? I even make myself laugh!
rollin' with my homies...

Half-day on Friday... I'm just sayin'.
Still battling the effects of this dreaded cold/flu/ oober bug!
But back at work, nonetheless!
Got the most adorable hand made thank you card from Caroline yesterday and Mr Jefferson!
They hang proudly with all of our other prized artwork!
Enjoy Hotlanta, everyone that is traveling!
Sandra has a bug too.
I hope you feel better soon.
Hope you feel better Sandra!
It is a good 7 days before you dont think you are going to die!
I have tried to stay away from everyone including my mother, I hope someone picked up the grocery slack for her!!
It was just the boyz last night. Sandra and Emma drove down to Butler, PA to see Emma's cousin in her school play. So Zach and I indulged in a chicken finger sub and attempted to watch an entire Sabres game (I had to turn it off after the Flyers scored their 4th goal).
It is Thursday, Dec 8th. Just in case anyone was unaware. We babysat Bronx last night, as cookie and gary got last minute tickets, she is always fun to watch as she wants our undivided attention. and if we are not paying enough attention to her, she just empties the laundry basket! Very hard Sabre game to watch! I too, turned it off when they went up 4-3.
Snow is coming, hope everyone has a full tank and a working snow brush for tomorrows commute!
Sandra's still sick... poor gal.
The snow is here and Mrs. Fixxit had no idea. She said they had nothing up her way... of course she was reporting that news from her bed at the time.
So sorry to hear Sndra still under the weather! So I drove geo to work this AM at 5:30AM and the Elks lodge on sweeney was cordoned off and smoke was coming out of the roof, with in an hour, the whole building was in flames, now that is significant because a major holiday party was to be there today, Rockin with Santa, so now jnna is in full "lets solve this problem" mode! I am sure you all will be getting a call!
Got my first Christmas Card yesterday from my sister! Good to see she is spending her time wisely!
Great Sabre game last nite
Do I even date say it??? Go Bills!
Back in Wny after our stay babysitting. have to admit to watching all of the dire predictions for the snow apocalypse that apparently didn't amount to much. had a great time with the little ones, but it will probably take the better part of a week to recover. The good news is that we were on the plane and missed the Bills game. Sorry that so many are under the weather. Heal soon
