10 Days and Counting

 Good Morning!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at 1070. Thought you might want to see our freshly flocked tree. Turned out nice but we are still cleaning up the flocking mess. Hopefully we will be on top of it by Christmas.

And now down to business.

Unkie and I finally sat down and discussed what we will be feasting on come Christmas Day. Since you have so generously offered to help here is a list of what would be welcomed additions. Please talk among yourselves or draw straws-whatever works.
Small ham
Polish Sausage
Dressing (oyster or not)
Pies 1 or 2
Shrimp with cocktail sauce

The nog will be fermenting and the rum cake will be soaking.
The festivius will commence about 10:30. Appetizers, cocktails and airing of grievances followed by PirateGift frenzie.
(Would someone please make sure Antie Sue is in the loop, since she loves to make pies;}. )

Love, Antie P and Unkie

WooHoo! I'm first.
Sandra says we'll bring the the shrimp and cocktail sauce (which I hear goes perfect with flocking).
We can't wait.

JT said...

Hey, second too!
Knock knock, hello is this thing on?
Just wanted to say we'll bring the shrimp and "good luck, we're all counting on you".

Don't ask me. Did the flocked tree frighten everyone? It really is quite fetching if you give it a little bit of time to get used to. Thank you nfw for getting back to us.

I am still recovering from yesterday's game. Ever since I was little I always believed everything my unkie said. Even this past Labor Day, I never doubted him. I thought the Bills would be 1st in the AFC and on their way to the playoffs. I think at our next summer gathering we should have Uncle Gary predict (since he thinks its a 10 game season).
Received a call from Gram last night wondering what the final outcome was. She said she stopped watching when it was 43-something and wondered if the Rams had won.She watched more of the game than I did. I gave up after the 1st.
I noticed Gram wasnt on the list of additions or what to bring with us.
Very happy to report that looks like nphw Austin will be joining the National Guard. He has already taken three tests (scored in the top 10%) and on December 26th he might sign the next 8 years of his life to the government.
Where does time go?
On another note, I will bring whatever is asked of me, or I will delegate it to someone else.

I can provide the ham, and will cook the polish sausage, for GG.

Very much looking forward to our Christmas extravaganza!

oh the christmas extravaganza! We will miss you all so much -- its sure to be a wonderful time with great food and family fun. We'll be thinking of you for sure, and maybe we'll even send you a little video hello! Eric's already heating up the pool so that we can spend the big day swimming.I told him that's not nearly as festive as the traditional playing in snow and drinking eggnog, but he's set in his (adopted) southern ways!

We'll celebrate twice this year -- on Christmas and on the 26th, when Jefferson comes home!

did I also see a request for Oyster dressing? I can do that also. Hard to believe its a week til Christmas, how is that even possible! A telltale sign of how time flies, is Gramma's handicap car hanger needs to be replaced! I remember when she got it, and saw that it expired on 12/12, and she said Oh My, I wont ever need another one!!!
Enjoy the day, at work, but I dont think I will!

Now I can't put my name down using Sandra's IPad. First work bans me. Now technology denies me. Unckie, Whoa is me.
I had a swimming would be cool comment... But what's the point in repeating?

All I know is that my world is crumbling around me. My NYG defense scored 0 pts. My NYG kicker scored 0 pts. I was eliminated by the formerly Good Gary, henceforth and forever taking the role of Bad Gary. I just can't get no love. After tomorrow, 2 weeks off. I'll take it. The menu is complete. Thank you all. Need to get the roast beast and the aluminum pole set up and we will be ready to go. Take care.

Happy 12/20! Hard to believe how close Christmas is! Today is my last day of work until 12/27, so I really need to get everything done today that has just been hanging around my desk, and seriously I do not see that happening! So what does everyone want for Christmas! remember the first year of our family blog, and everything revolved around quotes from a Christmas Story! Yea, me too! And of course I think K was the master Quoter! So Jnna has a little something something planned for the folks on the second floor of 245 Bryant this Christmas season, oh dont worry I will take pictures!
I will also bring corn to the Christmas Extravaganza Buffet!
Other than that, Peace, Love and Joy in the workplace

I certainly hope that my sister's work day winds up being more productive than I plan on my day being. I think it's called "marking time". I hope that nc jnn doesn't plan on anything too exciting for the 2nd floor. we don't want to lose anyone this close to xmas. Long term forecast sounds tranquil for tues. Let's hope that it stays that way. Enjoy the day.

Ho Hey!

Jenna Koch said...

Yeah that was me.
I received a frantic and concerned phone call from the second floor of 245. I'm not sure Jnna should plan anything. They seemed incredibly uneasy about the possibility of Christmas festivities.

6:12 AM has come and gone and auntie and I at least, are still here. Is there anything else Mayan that I should still be worrying about? The focus of my worrying is now winter storm Draco. When I left the second floor yesterday all was well. There was backup toaster strudel, the light bulb had been replaced and she had clementines. Did I miss something? We need a report on the planned second floor event. Enjoy the day.

Sounds like our menu is set. Antie B, you have signed up for a lot of stuff to bring. We are having it here so you can relax for at least this year so please feel free to eliminate anything that seems to make things complicated for you. That being said, we do appreciate everyone's generosity and can't wait for the big day.

PS Made the nog this morning and I think it's going to be a superb batch!

So the bills will be around for at least the next 7 years. I'm guessing that was our early Christmas present from our government. Starting to worry about the fiscal cliff. I had to break the news to one of my employees that the social security tax rate will be 6% instead of 2% and she asked me why I had to take her money away. Hmmm, grandma would be so proud. Te neighbors at 245 Bryant will have a special visitor on Sunday. Looking forward to the big man visiting them. Jenna

Ironic that Jnna is signed in as anonymous and I can only reply as Jnna.

So, one more day. We can hardly wait.

Pirate Gifts were off the charts this year, great gifts and everyone was so generous!
Yesterday, still basking in the glow of our glorious Christmas, I never even got out of my pajama's!
thank you to everyone, for all that you did to make the day special!
Austin signs his committment papers this afternoon, one never knows how many will be at our Chrismas table next year???
Hope my brother and his lovely wife arrived safe and sound in Quincy!
Only working today and tomorrow, not really putting in much effort though! Jerry Sullivan has a great article in this AM paper, about how Chan Gailey is " dead man walking".
Enjoy today, family and friends!

Happy Last Friday of 2012! Does everyone have big plans for New years eve? I know we dont! Everyone shoveled out? It seems that whenever Unkie and his lovely wife leave for a few days, it snows and then they can not get back in their driveway, did everyone notice that? Enjoy the day and all that it brings! OBTW, I have asked my daughter to post the pix of gramma and the Claus's, maybe we will see those by the new year!
