As the family grows and continues to change, we use our family blog to keep in touch, remind each other of who we are, where we came from, and where were going.

Great job Daughter, I know this was impt to Gram to have this done! Happy Halloween Family! So proud of my daughter! She did a great job with the debate! In the end I even think her opponent was voting for her! Hope you get the candy you want when you yell Trick or Treat!
Now you just knew that I would surface today. I am sure that you are all enjoying today. I could go on at length about large poppy, the Japanese sleep-bringer, and all of the other wonderful events, but I will leave that to others and concentrate on getting ready for this evening. Nice blog nc jnn. Can't wait for tuesday, can you?
Just got an update from Luther Manor Halloween Central, apparently 4 people volunteered to donate 2 bags of candy each so there would be 8 bags of candy for the little children. Upon collection of said candy, only 7 1/2 bags were collected. Now show of hands quess who only turned over 1 and 1/2 bags of candy???? If you quessed Anastasia Camille Holtz you would be correct! As a side note, she is patting herself on the back that she did not finish the bag and only turn over 1 bag!
It’s difficult to recall a time when one candidate’s letter to the editor did more damage to his campaign than the one written by Fourth Ward Republican candidate Brian Jopp. He wrote us proclaiming he had no intention of walking the streets in his neighborhood to “insincerely ask you what I can do for you.”
Here’s a novel thought: How about sincerely asking what you can do? Isn’t that why they call it public service?
Perhaps Jopp finds it noble to state he doesn’t want to schmooze for votes but it begs a question: If a candidate for elective office can’t be bothered to solicit the opinions of his neighbors and would-be constituents when he’s asking for their vote what faith can we have he’ll be a responsive representative if they give it to him?
Thankfully we have a candidate in Democrat Jenna Koch who displays the opposite qualities and voters should absolutely reward her with a seat on the council.
Koch has been an active and engaged campaigner. She’s put forth the effort to meet and talk to residents in the city and we have every faith she would continue to do so if elected. It showed in our candidate forum. She did not sound like a first-time candidate and came off every bit a confident and capable individual. She earns a ringing endorsement for the Fourth Ward.
Very pleased to announce we received the tonawanda news's endorsement!
Needless to say the Koch household is a buzz this AM, with this ringing endorsement from the Tonawanda News! What is that saying, as the Tonawanda News goes so goes the Nation! OR something along those lines. I have to tell you, I was totally lost on my brother's post, til I realized it was sux related. UGH! White Knuckle ride into work this AM! And that big black cloud hovering over south buffalo??? SCARY! It is Friday, and the Sabres racked up another loss! Getting routine and does not even sting anymore, when you get used to losing! You're in Trouble! 8 Weeks to Christmas! Or 4 Weeks to ThanksGiving! Or 96 hours til Election Day! Or 7.5 hours til quittin time! Its all in how you look at your day! Smile!
Tried not to be too "obvious" in my comments on the wonderful world series outcome.I thought for sure that the reference to the "Japanese sleep bringer" would set someone off against me. Endorsed by the Tonawanda News??? GREAT! The News couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge my subscription way back when, let alone mention me in a positive way. Let's just hope that this is the first of great things in the next few days. HB sndr. Hope that your day is a great one and your husband lavishes gifts upon you. Keep campaigning hard nc jnn. Don't let up. While nc jnn is out there working hard, everyone else can enjoy their weekend.
Will be out and about starting at 12 today. Hitting up areas that I still need to cover. Will not let up or miss a beat, even with this cough that has seemingly decided to stick around 5 weeks longer than wanted. A very special happy birthday to Sandra! Hope you have a great day. Big news to get the endorsement from the Tonawanda News. Truth be told, I have been up since 3:30 am when I received word on the endorsement. Four days to go! The campaign has an extremely busy weekend on tap as we tie up any loose ends. I wanted to invite you all to the American Legion (70 Main St. Tonawanda, 14150) to watch the results come in live. The candidates will be there starting at 8pm. Watchers will go to the polling locations and bring the results back to the legion. We will have pizza, beer, pop. Please stop by if you can. I would love to see you all. The clock is ticking! Have a great day every one!
Man o Man, what a whirlwind weekend! Started off with cocktail hour for beautiful niece Sndra, wishing her a very happy birthday! Then we were rushed into Campaign mode, which turned into an all hands on deck weekend! Many many thanks to my sister, who walked Niagara St! In record time I might add! Jff, Emma and Sndra did 6 streets in record time I may add. Then we had Jill and I out, while Gramma and Bronx sat in the car listening to the "good" half of the Bills game. so it is up to Austin and George to finish up this morning! Can not thank everyone enough! Superb family effort! This marathon is almost over!! Thanks again to everyone! On to Monday, ugh!
