As I was saying......

The quest house was occupied on the first nite of our arrival, and Pat told Sue and I that when we were ready to retire, just to let them know, they would drive us back to town. Our first nite was spent in a brand new hotel, that was right on main street next to a wine cellar! How fun! There is a crummy picture of the hotel, but a great one of our bed and the bathroom!

On sunday we went to the Guenther House, for a late breakfast, early lunch. It was an old flour mill, converted to a restaurant, it was very fun and very delicious!
Please note the best of times were spent just sitting on the porch watching the world go by, it is a piece of heaven. Hummingbirds a pallooza ruled the porch. That is a National Geographic shot if there ever was one, hummingbird in mid air!

o Mom, Pat, and Barb relaxing in front of the garden. Pat is holding the keeper of the estate, attack cat, Barney. He ruled the roost! With the help of Stubby and Sashi.
The evening was spent playing cards, and I unfortunately do not have any pictures of San Antonio Anastasia cleaning all our clocks at poker....
I continue to have problems posting all the pictures, so let me post this and continue with the saga.

This is kinds like the never ending story. What's Gramma going to do next? We need scary, background organ music.

Took a break from the Braves to check and see what was going on. Further updates, but it seems as if this is going to take awhile. Love the pics. Does seem to be a lot of references to sitting and wine though. Can we make those "paloooza" events?

How are my HOMETOWN ATLANTA BRAVES doing tonight, hmmm?

My good friend paul hunt and I are watching the Big game. I'm hoping for Florida, over 65, so I can end the pool on a solid note!

Ask Adam how he's doing in the pool, wontcha?

I love the installment/cliff hanger plan for the texas trip. Good stuff! Can't wait for the rest ...

Has gram recovered. Has Mrs. Fixit? And how is that itching, jff?

The only way that today can be a happy one is if nfw jff has Barry Zito on his fantasy team. And I have to make mention that daughter K joined the "boys" in mano-a-mano for the round of 64 and started off Day One, March 16 in last place, but came back to do well, concluding last night picking both Fla. and over 64 and half points. Her brother, on the other hand, may have to sell some blood to pay his debts.

Does installment #3 come today? I want to see more of mom and the rifle.

I think scary banjo music would be good! Love the trip installments Sorta like a soap opera. "Tune in tomorrow to find out if------!" Keep them coming.

Unkie has a little headache today so keep the scary banjo music soft. He sang a rousing chorus of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame"-it wasn't even the 7th inning- as he swayed back and and forth in the bathroom then laughed uproariously at his own wittyness. Me, I left for line dancing and by the time I returned he was snoozing away.

ahh opening day. Nothing like it!

How proud am I of myself that I rocked the final rounds of the "mano"? But adam adam adam -- what's with your choices?

man, I couldn't even pick my nose during this tournament. It was a sorry display of gambling ineptness.

Ah, dad. Making opening day a national holiday.

PS, the sox also won yesterday, but notice, there were no comments from me...

Itching is calming down a bit, but now my leg tremors are a little bit more violent.

Yesterday had to be the best day in sports history. Opening day of afternoon baseball games(traditionally of course), Sabres win in a shoot out over rival Maple Leafs, and the Yankees crush the A's and my once fantasy pitcher Barry Zito. I did own him in his Cy Young 2002 season. Unfortunately, I do have Scott Kazmir, but balanced it off nicely with Oliver Perez of Pirates.
After day one I was in first place and quickly dropped to fourth on day two. 161 games to go. I love baseball!!!

Kristen, Congrats on your Florida pick, I'm glad you did well. Adam, Adm, Ad... shame on you. Alcohol and gambling do not mix.

Did anyone notiice Auntie B in the reflection of Gram sitting on the porch? It's like watching a really good B movie and seeing the mics up above the actors head.

In the same picture of Gram-was the chain across the porch to keep her from wandering off?-sorta like a baby-or a puppy gate?

Went to show Zach the new puppy and the pics are gone...huh??? Where's Lucy?

Charles Adam Holtz said...

sorry, sandra... Amy and I were having a crisis of conscience. But no fear, Lucy is here to stay! I'll send pics to Jeff via email, as I don't want to repost, and take away from the san antonio trip...
