Holtz & Son Painting Co. Resurrected!

It was a bright and sunny morning in Quincy when the boys sent Amy off to work.

They could barely wait for her to leave as they had big plans for the new baby's soon to be nursery.

Lucy helped

Many hours later, Amy arrived home and was surprised and happy at what awaited!

my knees are killing me today and they had 8 inches of snow in Manchester, nh and the game today is in doubt. Remember that Lent ends at noon, so "go nuts"!!!

Happy Easter everyone!!

Talked to mom and dad and they're on the road back to B-lo and snow. Easter isn't Easter until my mom sings "The Old Rugged Cross".

My plan is to go to the Braves game today for Easter. I'll need to bring a blanket!

kristen said...

Beautiful room. It looks like a catalog it's so pretty!

Happy Easter everyone, or shall I say Merry Christmas. I think the weather is a little confused. It's supposed to be nice outside!

The Easter egg hunt will begin in 10 minutes. Here's hoping that the bunny was great to all of you!

Cousin A and A, if you ever need a babysitter, count me in!

Back in EA to a lovely Christmas scene, unfortunately....Hope that everyone had a great day today. Need to go out and try to find a paper to get caught up on all of the local news. Adam started a rumor that the sabres won the prez cup, but I think that he may have made that up in an attempt to find some reason to continue on after the way that the yanks game ended yesterday.

I found your website while searching local sports results last year I teach h.s. math in texas and sidetrack rather easily when bored i pop in. i read so much talk about the good ol purple eagles it reminded me of my glory years in dwyer. bad sabres game today but hey lets rest up and bring the cup to wny.

Im also an imsomniac so i may rarely make sense.

Welcome texas insomniac and love the stanley cup sentiments. Some way that Teddie and the Islanders get into the playoffs--on a shootout? Let's hope that was the end of their good luck. It all starts on Thursday. Go Sabres!! I had visions of taking in some of the afternoon Bisons games this week. Lots of luck.

JT Rice said...

Welcome Texas insommniac, glad to have ya here.
Sabres were just trying not to get hurt yesterday, no biggie. They'll be ready for Teddy on Thursday.

Yeah, yeah, I'm home. It's great to have a day off with the kiddies. Popcorn for breakfast.

My hometown Atlanta Braves yesterday did indeed win, and I was there to see it. I will tell you that the shade offered by the "lexus level seating" is very welcome in mid-July, but a little more sun yesterday would have made the game much more comfortable. BRRR! I love that Brian McCann -- he sure can hit!

Amy is absolutely glowing and feels wonderful! She claims to love being pregnant and she certainly looks like it agrees with her.
Her mom and dad invited us to a lovely pre Easter dinner on Sat. It was so good. As a bonus we got to meet baby Harry, Amy's 1 month old nephew.

JT Rice said...

Sounds like you guys had a nice time and I'm glad things are going well for Amy.
I still don't have an answer to the mystery of Adm's mustache. What happened to it?

Anonymous said...

i have to jump in here.
i made adam shave the mustache.
it scared me. it would have scared you too if you saw it in person.

Anonymous said...

I sure wish Unkie would have given me an inservice as to where the NYS troopers sit on the 400. That way I could have been prepared!

JT Rice said...

I think an Adm mustache book would be perfect for children. There's a Moose Mustache book and that one couldn't hold a candle to Adm's.

kristen said...

Isn't that book "if you give a moose a muffin?" not "if you give a moose a mustache?"

kristen said...

jnna, did you get a ticket? That stinks. The last one I got was on a Indian reservation in North Carolina. The speed limit dropped from 75 to 40 at the bottom of a hill, and one of the Cherokee Nation's finest was there to write me up. Dang!

Anonymous said...

Luckily I talked my way out of that one! I showed him my badge, he showed me his then, I found out he was married to the ADON.

It's smooth sailing from now on!

kristen said...

I think you may get your wish for a spin off, Jll -- don't you worry!

Feeling slow and lazy here in the Atl today -- gotta get this kdhrc party going again!

Glad to hear that nphw jff had Dyngus Day off as one of his holidays. Obviously a very enlightened company he works for. Looks like I am going to take a shot at the Bisons game today. Since the weather report says that this will be the "primo" day of the week, I will prepare for 37 and cloudy. Nc jnn, the rice rd. overpass (how appropriate) on the 400 is their favorite hangout. Glad that you got out of it ok. I will have a full game report later. Sad that the Indians relocated to Milwaukee when they could have come here.

JT Rice said...

Do you mean if you give a pig a pancake???

Ahhhh days off... Dyngus Day is unofficially the 14th holiday at People Inc. It's always good to celebrate that one.
Back to work today and what a day, I only wish there was some Mexican holiday (an early cinco de Mayo, maybe) I could've celebrated instead to avoid work today. Thank goodness I had on a army helmet to fend off the shovels to my head. I didn't even have a chance to finish this week's Sports Illustrated in the men's room.

Austin attended the Bison game today. He had a great time! He came back with a foam finger, baseball bat, baseball, and dippin dots on his clothes!

I love a day at the ball park!

Anonymous said...

Austin was there too?? I can't believe that I didn't see him, with only a few hundred in the place. He should have played second base in place of Hector "the tuna" Luna. I don't know what the club record is for errors by a player in a game, but he must have made a run at it with the three that he had--actually he should have had four because he had a double play ball that he short-armed into the dirt at first when he had the runner by 10 feet. Was good to be out there. Actually wasn't a bad day weather-wise. I better be careful bad-mouthing Hector. I might get suspended from retirement for two weeks.

JT Rice said...

LOL...

With that comment and a cowboy hat you'd definitely be gone for 2.

Anonymous said...

Bad news follows bad news. I thought that my fantasy football team was in good shape since I had Pacman as a carryover. Oh well, at least I will get Ricky Williams back.

Anonymous said...

Since I am on the verge of a suspension anyhow, I have to say it. Does anyone else see a resemblence between the Rutgers coach and Jackie Chiles?

Anonymous said...

Painting Co RESURRECTED, on Easter Weekend. Now that is funny

JT Rice said...

Jackie Chiles from Seinfeld... he helped out Cosmo quite often. I wasn't going to say anything. It's that last sensitivity training I went to up north that made me bite my tongue.

Unckie, isn't Vinnie Testeverde your holdover/keeper for your fantasy football team?

Sandra said...

Phew...did I get behind (Jff loves when I say "behind")...anyways
Yes... there is "Give a Pig a Pancake" & "A Moose a Muffin" & " A Mouse a Cookie" & the Moose's Mustache...you were all correct! Hope Auntie & Unkie took the boxes of clothes down for Harry to test out first...the room looks great A&A!
Jnna...my 1st ticket was 83 in Warsaw on my way home from college--maybe I was in a hurry to see Jff?

Couldn't watch anymore of Diceclay being kicked around by the Mariners. Sens are up early, no. 13 will probably have two or three more homers tonite and the Bisons took it on the chin. As the cowboys sang as they sat around the campfire in Blazing Saddles: "and our (world) is turning to s@$!%"

JT Rice said...

Yes Unckie, but we're else can you post a green frog and get 45 comments.

I took the day off today to spend it with my nephew and a friend of mine's kid. Today we are going to lunch then to Dick's Sporting Goods for baseball cleats for Austin's school baseball team!

Anonymous said...

I took the day off to find the sabre's game on tv.

WILL THERE BE A TRIBUTE TO KURT VONNEGUT ON THIS BLOG LIKE YOU GUYS DID FOR BOB CLARK?

Anonymous said...

Kurt's gone?? Must have missed that. Good day for buying spikes.

JT Rice said...

Cat's Cradle!
I loved his earlier stuff. I missed that one.

Great day to buy spikes... couldn't be a better day for spike buying.

LETS GO
SABRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JT Rice said...

Sabres!!!

What a game. 15 to go. Who else had Brian Campbell in their hockey pool?

Anonymous said...

What to do? What to do? Do I mow the lawn today or put my tomato plants in? Decisions, decisions. Probably neither. Don't want to risk being out in that hot sun for too long. Were those spikes or skis purchased yesterday?
