so gramma just called me!!!
And it appears, Mr Oliver already has a nickname, Gramma is referring to him as OC! as she told her number one son to kiss OC for her!
Apparently she has been watching the WB too much!
Just courious new parents, how the moniker Oliver was decided on??
Oliver North???? that great patriot.
Oliver Wendell Holmes???
great statesman?
Or did we just like the name???
I LOVE IT!! And can not wait to meet him!!!

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! So happy for you guys! Now Amy & Zach share a birthday and Oliver & Stacy...hmmm...that might come in handy next time we play the squares!
(Does this mean we need to spell his name Olivr?)

And a VERY big congratulations to Cousins A and A! I am so glad to hear family is doing great. Congrats to the new Aunt and New grandparents! I hope when there is a chance a blog will be in the making.

I am on my way to work, 8am-12am. That's a shift and a half! That's what you get when new ownership takes effect at midnight tonight and you have to hunt down 400 employees to sign all new paperwork!

YIKES! If only I worked for KDH.

Sir Lawrence Oliver, or is that Oliv'er????
Oliver James, I went to school with him
Kukla, Fran and Oliver! you gotta love them
And of course the most famous Oliver of all!!! Oliver Charles Holtz!
Cant wait to hear from the Quincy crowd today!
Jff, did you see the Yankee game, and Toronto accusing ARod of calling for the ball, too funny!
just curious, if Oliver would have turned out to be a girl, would it have been Olivia? Or Anastacia??
You know who started the rumor of it being Anastacia!

Congrats to the expanding A and A Holtz Family...How exciting to have a new person in the world!!! Im sure Adam already has him strapped in a Bo Sox onesie.

Hope the new grandparents made it safe and sound to Quincy! Auntie KDH, when are you headining down there? And who are you putting in charge of the company while you are gone???

Summy and I are apartment hunting today. Wish us luck!

All reports from Quincy are positive and excited. Oliver is, and I quote multiple sources "perfect". Pictures forthcoming soon, I hear!

I'll be heading to Quincy in a few weeks, once the new family has settled down to a routine.

Did you all get this website? http://www.welcomenewborn.com/sb/index.jsp?hospital=BI

The secret word is the dog that is going to be jealous!

What is the secret word??????

Its not Oliver, or Amy tried those both..

Anonymous said...

Oh sorry I did not get that last part, a little slow on the uptake!

What a cool website!
He is absolutely adorable!
He does need a bills newborn cap though! I will get right on that!

It was love at first sight! Even Unkie got misty. We never imagined how thrilling it would be to meet our first grndchild. Oliver is beautiful!!

Unkie just informd me thta he thinks Emma is the rightful winner of the pool.

It seems that those in charge of th pool never clarified what was the prime issue, day of birth, or time of birth: grt nc mm had the wrong day but missed the time by 12 and a half hours; gramma p had the right day but missed by 15 and a half hours; what sayeth the commissioner?I knew that Mr. fixxit should have been in charge!

And you should know that the hopital is within walking distance of fenway and the proud papa braved the crowds to purchase the first hat and shirt. Bad news is that Oliver's arrival coincided with the end of the end of both thesox and yanks streaks.

awww we have a grampa holtz once again..... seems fitting..
Yankee paraphanalia fed exed overnite express, Newborn Jeter Jersey should be there as I speak, er I mean type

Anonymous said...

Winner has to be on the day..time was for a tied decision...unless you want to give Em the winnings...no arguement there! Ha!Congratulations to the new grandparents!!

Mr. Fixxit as a commish???? Too much pressure for him. He'd snap like a brittle twig.

What about Oliver from "Love Story"? I got misty, I must admit. It was those true to life hockey scenes.

I messed up the calculations of time. Sorry, but I am used to making those kinds of errors. It is the only way that I can stay ahead of my nephew when we play golf. Oliver will be coming home in a few hours so we have some chores to do in preparation. Have a good one and a Happy June to us all.

Someone buy Amy some cover-up (even if she doesn't use it now) so that when she finally decides to join the public & sees the dark circles under her eyes she doesn't freak...I'm all about avoidance tactics...also..if she is nursing buy cabbage leaves NOW...trust me!!! This is a necessity...you will thank me later...I'll give you some time to figure the reason for the leaves...Jff...no playing!

Anonymous said...

Jff, you make me laugh, raise your hand if jff makes you laugh too!
Oliver came home!!! How exciting!
Cabbage and concealer , check
Printed the picture frm the hospital web page and gave it to my sister yesterday, response was AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
it is friday, June 1st and Oliver is home, does not get much better than that!

Cabbage leaves? That's GOT to be an old Polish folk tale!

I can't even imagine!

Anonymous said...

Sandra Rice...no Polish there...and I'm very serious...not even a guess KDH?

Anonymous said...

I know, I know. I loved the look and begged Sandra, BEGGED HER, to keep them for Halloween or at least just in role playing in the b-room. Begged her.

Welcome home Oliver. Isn't it appropriate that he comes home on a Yankees/ Red Sox weekend.

two hours until game time and of course it is pouring rain with t and l. I must be in New England. Oliver ate at four, no cabbage leaves that I could discern, is currently napping in gramma's arms while mom and dad are napping. Went shopping for my grandson today and found what I think is a perfect gift. I have a hunch that it will make the blog. Interesting weather patterns around here 90 on wed. 60 on thurs. 90 today. Takes some getting used to.

hello all,

mom, dad, and oliver arrived home at about 2pm today. Waited patiently for g and g to show up to take the bundle off our hands so we could sleep. Woke up JUST in time for another feeding! Good to be home! thanks for the well-wishes. Will send pics as soon as they are availabe. Trying to think about the cabbage...
