Poor Papa, aka Mr. Fixxit, no one told him that going lateral in a clamshell was going to be so terrifying. I'll take the responsibility and blame for that. The poor little guy wasn't right for days after this life changing Nemo ride. Unfortunately for me, he left a smooth, bald batch on my thigh after he dug his nails in and pulled out all my leg hair. Thank goodness, Emma was there to keep him safe.

Good mornin' everyone, big game today. Can we beat a winless team? Why am I nervous?
We got our Christmas tree yesterday, unfortunately the place we've been getting it at is no longer an option. It's tough to keep a business going when you're 90 I guess. So we went to the Kelkenburg Farm and got it there. Either way, it's up and decorated and now we're ready to entertain.
Great picture! Emma is a great passanger on any disney ride. Especially the tea cup ride when she rubbed my back.
I am a little nervous about this game too. We will take care of business.
The tree on Adam street is up. Minus the decorations and lights.
I should have Tivo'd this game. I missed 2 TDS and a FG just in a 10 minute span.
Good Morning Family!!
Hope everyone survived the weekend of christmas parties, christening parties, etc.
Jff, Home Depot for christmas trees! The only way to go! 28$
So I had a very nice day with thrillie yesterday. We did a little bit of shopping, still no pirate gift yet... who needs slippers???
Lunch at Kosta's, the best souvlaki in Buffalo and then the Buffalo Philharmonic Pops Christmas concert. She had won the tickets, and invited me to go!
We were not sure where our tickets were, so we walked towards the front thinking we had really good seats, but were quickly re directed, as we were in the Balcony, still good seats, but as we turned around this row of people were waving at us??? MMM it was the fixxitts and Sandra's mom and dad, so that was very nice to see them, we hooked up at intermission to check on the bills game, and mrs fixxit was at the CD table, some lucky soul is getting music for christmas this year!
Good Morning Family...Another Monday morning BLAH! Headed to McConnellsburg, PA tonight and will be there until Thursday night. Kind of dragging my heels on this trip.
I've already mentioned my horrors of McConnelsburg... I don't have to repeat the worst 5 minutes of my life. Nahhhhhh, I'm just joshin'.
Sandra and I took today off :) to go shopping and have lunch. I hope it's painless.
Had a great day yesterday. Christening went well except that O attempted a "do it yourself" baptism and actually did a very good job of it. Watching the Bills great success was a lot of fun, even tho we had to deal with the some very condescending Patriots fans, who of course smugly enjoyed the second game of the afternoon. Waiting for Adam to return home from school before we start the ride back home. Not sure of road conditions and how far we will get tonite. Still a bit gunshy after last winter's Fla. drive. Arethe golf courses in McConnellsburg open? I need an update. I am starting to get nervous about Dec. golf. It sure didn't happen here.
I have to believe that you weren't trying hard enough.
Happy Tuesday!
I hope everyone survived there Monday, it is always touch and go!
Come back safely to WNY, UC & AP.
Did Adm ever get home from school?? I am a little worried now?
Thrillie in Mconellsburg safe and sound, although reluctantly.
Listen to some christmas music today, it will brighten your day!
KDH, do you allow the playing of christmas music in your office??
Well it's official, I got my Pirate gift! Since I am still new to the process, will we have the flow chart and power point presentation again? I think I need that refresher course.
Seven hours and 15 minutes from door to door last nite. May have "pushed" the speed limit a bit. Xmas carols are a playin', and knowing that nc jnn has already bought her gift, I'm gettin' in the Christmas spirit.
I'm still without my "pirate gift". Oh, also, I home with Zach today (only worked a half-day), he's got a cold. I've never had fewer PTO hours in my bank.
I have to come up big for the "pirate gamer", there's people counting on me. Oh, the pressure.
WHAT IS THE PIRATE GIFT?
WHO DOES IT GO TO AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
NEVER HAVE HEARD OF A CHRISTMAS PIRATE GIFT?
Apparently a newbie on the family blog! I think I have my leftover power point chart for viewing if you need it.
Anyone making the roadtrip to cleveland on sunday?
Does Oliver want a Wii from santa? If he doesn't maybe he could ask for one and I will just hold on to it for him for the time being.
I'll explain the "Pirate Game", it starts with a gift (perferably a good or useful gift with a set monetary value). Then depending on the number in your group you pick numbers out of a hat. Thus, the game begins with #1 who takes a gift from the center and oopens said gift. Now #2, they can take #1's gift or choose from the center and open thast gift. Now #3, they can take #1 or 2's gift or choose from the pile and so on, and so on, and so on. If you have one particular gift in your possession three times, it's yours, no one can take it from you. The game ends when that last gift is picked up and opened.
Good mornin', I woke up to a snow covered lawn this morn. Pretty.
Does anyone remember what they were doing today, 15 years ago. I do. Some were trying to make it north thru the snow. Good times, good times that day ...and night.
I leave the Wednesday (hump day) intro to Auntie B.
Happy 15th!! Ah yes, the weather back then. I do recall that Bourbon Swillin' daughter--whether she was then or not I prefer not to know--never did make it in from DC. But we were able to journey up from the southtowns to the Holiday Inn for what proved to be a GREAT time. Quite a reception!! Talked to a new "good friend" yesterday in Sunbury, pa who promised to let me play his course --Sunny Hills--today. So as soon as it is daylight I will be heading toward Rte. 15 and central PA. The streak must continue and I can''t rely on any improving local weather this month. Have a good one all. Another excellent discription of the pirate game nphw. The think that I am starting to understand.
15 Yrs!!! That is awesome, and that was a GREAT! Wedding, congrats, nephew and sandra!
what is the gift for 15 yrs???
2 weeks in Hawaii???
snowy drive in, but nothing to complain about.
The pirate game always does draw them in!
Tops has an electric tea kettle for 9.99$, who likes the earl gray??
good luck golfing UC, why not take your mother with you. She LOVES car rides!
have a great day all
of course Oliver wants a Wii!!! he's been practicing with a carrot for the past 2 months. Its kind of sad really.
The golfing deed is done. The guy at the course was somewhat disbelieving when I told my story and how far I had come to play in the rain. And I did my bit with Mom yesterday, lunch and shopping. And I, unlike so many other family members, never complained about Canadian shoppers.Plus, I have my pirate gift.I have a hunch that this gift is going to open a whole new set of ideas for gift giving.Me, I will be going to bed earlier than usual tonite.
Congrats on the continuation of your golf streak, we're proud of persistance. Sunny Hills... sounds just sooooo inviting.
Wii carrot, LOL, that made me chuckle.
I think I know what I'm getting for my pirate gift now.
I will give you a hint about my pirate gift, Aunt Sue brought them last year. Except I have 12 of them.
Jenna~Isn't your big party coming up? Offer still holds for warps and bags!
make that WRAPS....
Party is this Friday from 5-8 pm at Roycroft. I am still so clueless at what to wear! I wish I looked as cute as Oliver does in his elf pj's.
I might need a wrap. What do you think Auntie?
Speaking of Wraps FYI- The Tiki Hut might not be open for business next season. It seems the owner received a pretty nasty letter from the state of ny (Hillary barf clinton) That the Worker's compensation and DBL carrier that she used is out of business and she was slapped with a $13,000 fine that she has 90 days to pay.
Needless to say I have gone just short of calling Bush to complain.
The fine is = $1,000 a day for every day her 2 employees worked. Her 2 employees worked a total of 13 days.
The fine is = $1,000 a day for every day her 2 employees worked. Her 2 employees worked a total of 13 days.
mmm, I wonder who complains about canadian shoppers, I do believe that is me! Ok, so UC you were out on a wed, canadians do not come shopping on a wed! they are stricktly weekend shoppers!
we are all flooding elected officials with nasty letters in support of Katie and her Tiki Hut!
I am very close to having my pirate gift, very close. And it will be the be all end all, that is all I am going to say!
NY State!!! It almost makes me want to move to North Dakota.
Well here it is Thursday, whew!!!
lets recap, well mmm thrillie stuck in the mountains in Mcconellsburg PA, she has called, it is a driving rainstorm, and slowly turning to ice. Any ideas how her rented ford fusion will fair in the ice covered mt roads??
So she is debating whether to call her instructor and head for the airport, and stick out the last day of training??? Knowing my daughter she will try to attend class!
Sabres win, yea!!!
Bills losing offensive line coach, yea!
12 days to christmas, everyone start singing...
have a superduper day all
Just let me know, Jenna
Auntie Are you home tomorrow?
Geesh, I almost ended up on your doorstep today with those road conditions!
Based on the complaints about NYS, I too would be tempted to join the Fargonians with nphw jff, but the problem with that would be I would have to drive thru at least four states at this time of the year to find a golf course. Looks like I got out of PA just in time. I, unlike so many Canadian-hating others, have my pirate gift and its so good I just may keep it myself and get something else. Thousand bucks a day in fines? Is that based upon what the employees were making?
True Unckie, you're always thinking ahead. Driving thru 4 states just to get in a round of golf might be gas consuming and not the best financial option.
TGIF!!!
Sandra and I are going out to eat again tonight for our anniversary (month). Not sure where to go. Any suggestions???
Jff you and the Mrs should come to the Roycroft from 5-8, just tell my boss your an employee of ours. Open bar from 5-7 and good food. Just bring a gift so you blend in!
So I took yesterday and today off to finish up my christmas shopping, or well really start my christmas shopping, I have to admit I just am not inspired this year. Nothing jumps up and says buy me buy me! Sigh, so I am warning all ahead of time, I will have a pretty lame pirate gift, it will be the one wrapped in christmas paper with a bow!
HOWEVER my shoppimg plans today are put on hold as I have to go to court this AM and defend myself against being issued a apeeding ticket INCORRECTLY, I may add..
UGH to my stupidness!
Auntie B, I certainly hope that this appearance is NOT in Kenmore, since as a long time resident you know all of their various hiding places. Good luck. Nobody mentioning the Mitchell report. I thought that all of the Yankee fans would immediately pounce on the good news that Phil Rizzuto avoided implication. And I don't think that I saw Yogi's name either. Beyond that?? Looking at Jobba's body shape--hmmm.
In my own personal opinion you can NOT trust the Mitchell Report due to it's extremely bias author! Enough on that subject!
Good Morning Family, I made it home in one piece last night and on time no less! McConnellsburg was less than exciting, but I did have the pleasure to eat the VERY BEST donut I have ever experienced! True story folks! After eating dinner in, I believe Hagerstown, MD, my tour guide drove down an alley and stopped in front of a double wide trailer with a sign that said Krumpy's donuts. Small operation, I could have thrown something into the icing tank if I really wanted to mess up their whole production. I went with the traditional glazed donut and it blew all other glazed donuts away!! Weird hours though, they are only open from 7PM - 2AM
ah yes. krumpy's. mmm mmm good. So, I'm sitting here at school, waiting for the bell to ring (we're on a 2 hour delay). I am only teaching 1 class today, from 1 til 2:30. I'm putting the over/under on students that I see in the hallways at 100 (out of 1300). anybody want to take some action on that?
I just issued the afternoon off to all KDHRC employees so that they could decorate their christmas tree. Its hard to get in the xmas spirit when you're buying a tree in 77 degree weather. Weird and wacky!
Now I want a donut.
Apparently Mom went shopping with Auntie B. today and in order to ensure that her back would allow her to shop she popped an entire darvocet. Based upon the animated conversation she had with me, we may have to chip in and send her to rehab for her christmas gift. Hope that nc jnn is having fun at her xmas party. I was going to drive down and peek in the window but decided to wait for the update from her. Will the Bills get to cleveland for the game on sunday?
happy saturday, am putting sometime in at work, at Millard Fillmore Gates, no less..
And I realized I had not updated the masses on the result of my court appearance. As a Tonawanda Lifer, I know all to well all the hiding places of the TPD. However, on this snowy evening the arresting officer, told me I "flew" by him on Niagara St. Note to all the TPD has 2 white Tauras's that they are passing off as radar cars. So I arrived at court, was quickly told by the prosecuter that it would be reduced to a parking ticket as I had a clean license, The Judge being Joe Cassata, waived the fine, but told me because he cares about me and my family, I need to write a one page essay about speeding while driving and it is due on 12/21. MMM OK, was in out of court in under 2 hours still had time to take my mother where she needed to be.
Thrillie RAVED about the Crimpy's donuts, and she is not a donut person, so they must be pretty dosh garn good. mmm a dozen donuts as the pirate gift??? How would that go over???
Who is leaving now for Cleveland?? Show of hands, Yea me neither.
Enjoy the day!
Keep, warm, shoveled, and safe!
Adm, they had some guy from Quincy shoveling his steps on the weather channel, you need to take Oliver outside and shovel so you can be on TV.
KDH, have you noticed a drop in productivity by your staff with the HOlidays fast approaching?
Is Erica coming for Christmas, she is so nice!
meant Gosh Darn, not Dosh Garn???
Not sure where that came from??
Wow, that was a long one, but I read it all.
Diner was great at The Eagle House last night. I went with the fish fry and Sandra got the Jumbo scallops. To tell ya, I would have gone for Krumpy's donut. There's some kind of crazy dance called Krumpin' the kids are doing today. Is that any relation to the donut?
auntie b, you have to write an essay on speeding while you're driving? That seems to be pretty dangerous. I can't even talk and drive at the same time. good luck on that!
Hey Adm, when's your storm coming?
The Christmas party was a blast! I had such a great time. The food was amazing! My boss told me that I am such a important part of her team that she enjoys having me around, blah blah blah. I told her to show me that in the paycheck!
They have jazz night at the roycrof every friday at 7. Auntie P, we should do that sometime.
So Auntie B is offering $50 bucks to anyone who will write her essay. Heres what I have so far:
Speeding is very bad. It wood be so wrong to speed or be on speed.
If you write that in 72 font, theres your page.
I know that Auntie B. will be spending the day inside avoiding the terrible storm and working on her essay. Does she have to receive an A+++++ or be required to do it over? Can she work in the idea that a radar detector makes a very good Christmas gift? The "storm" in boston was just enough to postpone my grandson's theatrical debut. Go Bills!!
brrr, ventured out early to try and get some hot ticket items, and came up empty handed again.
I quess I need to clarify, my essay is why speeding is bad, by betsy koch.
GO BILLS
GO JETS
G-G claims that she did NOT stick her tongue out at any other drivers yesterday, despite what nc jnn might claim. Based upon today/s play calling, Steve Fairchild had best leave for Colo. now, before he is ridden out of town on a rail. That final call made absolutely NO sense.
Exactly... how can you not throw to the endzone. And how many times are you going to run it inside guard? Wow, please Steve, leave, leave now.
What a great day today. Especially when the snow blower fires right up.
Poor Auntie B, stuck inside writing an essay about the hazzards of speeding. I'll tell ya, I like how Jnna starts it out. Powerful and to the point.
Auntie B---why not give Jimmy a call--maybe he can help you out with the essay...
Happy Monday morning all...One work week left people and then it's Christmas. Therefore I am having a hard time focusing on the tasks at hand. Instead I am looking out my office window watching all the cars fishtail on Pearl St.
Put those car swirves to music and you have yourself a YouTube video. Maybe something tranquil.
Home for lunch right now, snowblowed the driveway (hopefully, for the last time... this week) and then had Sandra's leftovers from Friday night, Jumbo scallops... delish. Don't tell her.
Is this a real story that a judge ordered an essay written instead of a fine in traffic court?
Jimmy...is that you?
my pirate gift is wrapped and papa screamed like a little girl more then once!
