A Saturday Afternoon Blob

I'd taken down the kids' swing set the night before that had serviced them for the last 10 years all that remained was a pile of sand. Lately, Jeter had claimed the sandbox as his personal dig zone and he wasn't quite ready to give it up yet.
There was some prep work to do before the heavy duty stuff. Which means I had to bring out my ol' reliable jeans to get the job done. The kids seem excited to just have grass in the backyard so they can play. I also promised them an ice rink for next winter.
I had to roto-til the whole area. Thank goodness Sandra's dad has one so I didn't have to rent one. Started up on the 32nd pull (yeah, I was counting).
Jeter just stood back and took the whole thing in as...Bambi napped.

Now I feel even more guilty over all of the things that I haven't done this spring. Good to see that someone was using their weekend productively. Plus, I get to be the first to comment. Nicely done nphw!
Nice job, Jff! good idea about the ice rink in the winter, but what about a bocci ball court for spring and summer use? As your aunts and uncles are getting older, you could set the court up, and we could start a league! Thoughts?
good to know Sandra's dad has a rototiler! That is one tool that can not be replaced by any other tool, for ex a hammer, you can always use a shoe, and well duct tape will fix just about anything, but a rototiler, nope you need a rototiler! And a blog about it also! Great job!
Cookie and Gary return home tonight, we have to pick up bronx by 7, other than that nothing else going on.
Had my mom for dinner yesterday, did some shopping, and she did some napping! Other than that its monday, UGH!
What is all of this lack of blog activity all about? Travellers back from Vegas? I thought that at the very least all of the "Captain lovers" out there would be glowing over his rediscovery of the fountain of youth and the Bobby V. vs. the Redsocks controversy. Of course nphw jff is off-line at work so that counts, AB is busy in her new surroundings. So here I am, unfiltered, at work, looking for things to keep me going. Nice having yesterday off, another record setting day in WNY
Sorry Blog fans, but I am working 6am to 4pm, we are training the Dr's on new piece of the electronic medical record, ugh this is just endless!
Niece Jnna is trying to finish up her school work, and geo well he never blogs..
Maybe cookie will do a vegas 51 blog! Las Vegas 51's the farm club of Toronto, does that make any sense?
Good morning everyone! Hope you all made your donation to uncle Sam yesterday. So I am in the process of writing a paper on obamacare and the effect it will have on businesses. It has to be 15 pages long and I have to profile a small business. So I decided to start my paper last week and gram was over helping me. She even wrote my first sentence for me, "he's dumb. It's stupid." the end. What kind of grade will that get me?
it has been a grueling work week. Part of the mission this week was to train all the physicians at all 4 sites to be able to manuever through the next piece of the puzzle of the Electronic Medical Record which goes live this AM at 11AM. The physicians for the most part, were not quite as difficult as our last go round. A few of them even picked their heads up from their blackberry to observe!
So I was really looking forward to the weekend! And today has started out raining ugh!
Last nite took Anastasia for a fish fry. Sometimes change is hardly noticeable, other times it is glaring! So last nite, GG did not finish her dinner, and has started ordering the Senior Citizen size portion! To say I was concerned, is an understatement! However, faith was restored, when we stopped at my sisters, with dessert in hand to share with them, and GG complained how skimpy my sister was with her serving of ice cream and pie for her! I did breathe a sigh of relief!
Today's agenda??? Maybe a Rochester game? Chowder at noon, is a given, other than that, rain rain go away!
Certainly one of our quieter weeks blog-wise. Glad to hear that GG has bounced back a bit. I think that I was largely to blame for any funk that she might have been in. We did Athena's for lunch on thursday and after a stop at the bank I had to get back to work. When I got home at 3 i discovered her doggy bag still in the back seat. Not surprisingly there was a message on the machine wanting to know about her half turkey sandwich and chips. She jokingly??? suggested that I could drive it back to her for her supper. Mrs Fixxitt got me off the hook by delivering some sloppy joes. Did we all see the smile on Don Paul's face last night predicting the possible monday snowstorm? Not a lovely day today by any measurement. Enjoy it whatever it is
ummm - No she was serious brother, she really wanted her turkey sandwich!
Not looking forward to the drive to work Monday and Tuesday in anticipation for this upcoming winter storm. It was even suggested by my dear grandmother that I drive to my uncles house to pick up her leftovers. Looking forward to a day focused on homework!
