Andy's Big Day

A Sunday Blob
by JT Pilaf

Sunday was a busy, busy day.  Emma had to sing at confirmation Sunday and church didn't let out until 12:45.  After Sandra and Emma changed into something more baseball appropriate we headed off to Rochester to see Andy pettite pitch.  We arrived at 2:06 and the stadium was packed.  There was also still a line at least 100 yards long at the ticket booth.  We got nervous but...

got tickets anyway.  We were not let down.  What a day!  Andy looked great.
He was seen talking in between innngs to a few of the younger guys.
Sandra and the kids couldn't believe how big the middle infielder was.
Emma got so excited when the cotton candy man came around.
We had great seats right along the wall.
We just love sitting together talking about the day watching things go on around us.
Emma got to meet two of the players.
And they had a kidszone so even Zach could blow off some energy.
Sandra just loves me taking her out.
Ummmmmm... I have a confession.  We didn't make it in to the Yankees/ Red Sox game and we didn't get to see Andy pitch.

Too Funny! On a scale of 1-10, you get a 10 for creativity!!
Loved the pix of what you did do!
And Andy did not pitch that great anywhoo! And you got our blog count up! Great job!
All in all very successful, nephew.
And more importantly, I was the first to comment, and that has not happened in well like forever!

Great job! Is this the first time turtles showed up in our blog? I like turtles........... What movie is that from?

Betsy said...

We have never had Eagles in our blog either! Maybe our theme for 2012 should be our blogs should cover events that we have never covered before? I too love turtles! Can not get enought pictures of turtles, I'm just saying!
So hip hip hooray its friday. I just want to make it known that on Wed May 9th, K's birthday my kaleida password expired and I changed it to kdh0509BD, I am putting it out here as I know I will forget it! Enjoy the day and all that it brings!

There was a lot of teasing going on about the trip to Rochester and I had visions of pix of the misremembering old coot with Zach and Emma and come to find out it was a trip to the zoo??? That is Blog misrepresentation at the least. Well, I did enjoy the pix anyhow. Can you imagine how tough it would be if you were a claustrophic turtle? Anyone with big Mother's Day plans?

Now I know how Butch Cassidy felt. Playing the OHmygoshagain Brewers, no matter the numbers that Josh Hamilton puts up, I look and the Brewers are right behind me. Happy day before MDay to all of the Moms out there.

Betsy said...

I meant to wish all our fantastic's Mom's a Mothers day,and yesterday the day just got away from me! Had a mini Mother's day party, complete with my Mom, who just was on cloud 9 from Saturday, my brother, and Jill and Gary and Bronx. For all you face book followers you know that Jnna picked up Austin at school on friday and took him to Hershey park for his birthday gift. So it was a quiet day, with the Yankee game as background noise, and Chiavetta's chicken on the menu!
All in all it was a very nice day!
Hope everyone enjoyed their day!
Get through Monday all!

Antie B I'm touched and honored -- as far as I know i've never been someone's password before -- not even mine!

The big news from Atlanta is that the twins are up up up on their feet. Not walking yet, but crawling super fast and pulling themselves up on everything. Wowza!

And boy have they worked out a system. One goes one direction to play with the printer or some electrical outlets, the other goes the other way to dig underneath the fridge or the under-the-sink cabinet. Then they reconvene to tackle and lay on each other.

Things are getting interesting around these parts, really, really fast.

Hope everyone had a great mothers' day!

Quick poll -- how does the weekend of June 23/24 ish look for everyone? We're planning a trip home to get the babies baptized! And we certainly want to do it a weekend that we can see everyone.

Betsy said...

At least its not Monday! Hope everyone enjoyed their Monday evening! Always good to start the day with a note from K! too funny about the girls, at least you know their plan! I did a quick review of the calendar and noted that the 23rd and the 24th are a Wed and Thurs??? Then I noticed I was looking at May! Those days are perfect for us! Please let me know what I need to bring, make, assemble, organize, clean, polish, or frost! Enjoy Tuesday all, cus at least it is not Monday!

Sandra talked to Auntie P about that weekend, so our input is in.
How come the blob is so quiet?

Can't believe the week that Unckie's Josh Hamilton. I just have some bad luck this year.

Finally graduated from Empire State College ( who knew they had a 10 year plan). I am now an advocate to eliminate my student loan debt. Was thinking of going for my master's, but baby steps! Happy 17th bd (tomorrow) to my awesome Austin. Time sure flies, but everyday he puts a smile on my face. KDH, I'm free that weekend

Betsy said...

Happy thursday! And a most happy birthday to our absolutely awesome Austin! He makes me smile everyday! Happy Birthday buddy!
The blog is quiet well because, not sure why??? Gramma has not posted in awhile, could that be it?
Did everybody see the Rays second baseman faint after getting plunked, or were you all watching NBA games? I am at work, but I really dont want to be, does that make me a bad employee???
Enjoy this day, and all that it brings

We haven't heard from the Fargo holtz's. I hope there okay! Picking up Austin for dinner tonight. Happy birthday buddy! Hope the next 7.5 go quickly for all those who punched in at work. From Jenna

unky said...

Hey Austin! Congrats on the BIG 1-7 Has been a busy week so far with time tho for my May round of golf yesterday at Buff. Tourn. Club. And nc jnn all matriculated? Well done! I have to admit that Josh has been a HFFBB joy, but the gloom and doom side of me is still waiting for the worst. It was a rare win for me over the Brewers, who usually pound me into dust. I think that I will start my weekend today. How is that for an idea? I am a bit perplexed tho since it seems that nph jff has spent a lot of time at work of late. What's up with that?

AntieP said...

Happy Birthday, Austin!! What does a 17 year old wish for on his birthday? Never mind~maybe I'm better off not knowing.

Happy Degree, Jenna! Your perseverance paid off. Now if only the student loan fairy would make your wish come true.

JT said...

Happy Birthday Austin!
Why is Unckie taking fantasy potshots at me? He knows better than anyone that More Beer has dominated the Brewers these past few years.

A well deserved day off tomorrow landscaping and having lunch at Shores.

Betsy said...

So I finished up my power of attorney duties for my mom yesterday, all in all Good Job First Niagara, as everything went very well! Just an FYI NYS changed the power of attorney law in 2009, just saying! So when I was at my mom's yesterday, I told her we were taking Austin out for dinner, and as the good lord as my judge, she looked at me with the most pathetic face I have ever seen, and said she had nothing for dinner! I responded, really, and with the face of a starving refugee she said, yes I have nothing for dinner, well I have TV dinners, but who wants those! So I reminded her it was Austin's day, and he was choosing the restaurant, and I gave her all the horrible choices, it could be, for ex Chinese, she winced, but still wanted to come! So along she came, and we ended up at Applebys, and I am pretty sure Austin changed his choice when he noticed her riding shotgun! Such a good boy! Had a great time, and the food was very good! Kind of surprised nephew off today, what about next friday for the long weekend? Oh well, wishing you all strength, perserverence, and fortitude to get through the day!

unk said...

Mom, you are CLASSIC!. You guys were great to include her in the celebration and I really don't think that you could have come up with any menu anywhere that she would have said no to. Glad to hear that nphw has found a little slack in his schedule to allow for a day off, but in all fairness, I think he is plagued with what has become known as "pinstripe misremembering" as I still feel the pain for all of the damage done to me over the years by those ohmygoshandgolly brewers. Shores by the river, an excellent choice on a day like today. Enjoy it.

JT said...

We showed up at 12 at Shores ans was told they didn't open until 4... So off we went to Dockside in NT, awesome afternoon in the sun. Too many beers.

Mis remembering?

JT said...

Is it really May? What a day and today should be the same. We got some landscaping done (before we indulged) and we'll finish up today. Followed by some wings on the grill.

Betsy said...

Happy sunny Saturday!
Enjoy your day! We have Audrey's 1st birthday party today other than that nothing else!

unk said...

I have trimmed hedges, washed 2 cars, weedwacked? is that a word? and did some mowing all before noon. came up to see that I am getting the whey pounded out of me by a certain soon to be sophomore h.s. student in HFFBB. I am taking the rest of the day off. Yes, "misrembering" a word coined by I believe an individual who threw a shutout last nite. So much evil. Where to begin. It is beautiful out there. Enjoy

Betsy said...

to one of my least favorite days of the week, here we are anywhoo!
Lets see, have to make a post office run this week, hopefully I can get everything out before the birthdays next week.
Beautiful sunny day yesterday, how lucky are we!
Took Anastasia out for lunch yesterday, and then she just sat in the yard, listened to some big band music, and watched me weed!

Jill said...

Unfortunately we will be camping the weekend of 6/23. But please dont change your plans for us. I am sure it is difficult to find a weekend everyone is available.

Lots going on at the Everetts! I am training for a half marathon. Bronx was selected as an interview dog at her day care. And Gary built a deck this weekend for a community service project. Now he thinks he can build a deck at our house. We will see how that goes.

went to the Bison's game yesterday. Great day for a game, but not many fans attended.

JT said...

A weekend to remember, incredible weather. I was in Pittsburgh last night for my third Avett Brothers concert in less than a month... What a beautiful evening along the three rivers.
How can the Yankees be playing mediocre baseball? at least Boston's worse.

Betsy said...

Ok I have to be honest, I have never heard of the Avett brothers?
Maybe at the babies christening you could play some of their tunes. K- would it be ok if Jff, DJ'd for the party?
Yankees are now as bad as Boston.
How is that possible? Anxious for a 3 day weekend, maybe I can have friday off, and make it 4??
I will go get my boss coffee, and see if that works
enjoy today, cuz hey at least its not Monday!

unk said...

Have to admit that I am starting to pay a little more attention to American League baseball. Avett bros? Didn't one of them use to play point guard for the Buffalo Braves? Bird Avett? Leave it to nphw jff to keep this blog informative and up to date. Looking forward to the b-day weekend in Quincy but not to the drive. Last week for the seniors here at the Mount and as I type this there is one of the annual "running of the halls". And another nice quiet day begins. They need some bulls out there to make it more interesting. Good luck on the long weekend AB. I would give it to you based on all of the work that you did on the move alone. Enjoy your tuesday.

Betsy said...

Just curious as to why the first 3 days of the work week are the hardest? It is wed, and in my world that equals meeting day, we meet with people that we met with last week, to see if we are any farther ahead than we were a week ago, and I am going to say no we are not.
So the Yankee's decided to stop the bleeding and win a game. The dancing with the stars have crowned their champ and Nik Wallenda is going to wear a wire, and that just about covers it.
Finish you coffee and enjoy the day

unk said...

The only thing working for me in HFFBB is my Yankee pitching staff. Thank God for Phil Hughes and "I only got injected a couple of times". They put a tether on me and I would consider doing the walk across the Falls. Shades of the Snake River canyon jump. My day started dodging seniors in the parking lot and wiping vaseline off my doorknob. They will spend all morning in manic frenzy and all afternoon crying. Days like today remind me of why I retired. Can;t wait for 2:30

Betsy said...

Happy Thursday, 5-2-4 are great numbers to play, just saying!
Have my day all planned out, at work anyway and then not to much planned for the evening.
I noticed yesterday in the Tonawanda News while reading an Obit, that the ladies family, did not want flowers or charitable donations, a service was going to be held at their convenience, but in memory of their family member, they said that:
"Laura's only wish in memory of her is that "You do something nice for someone."
So in memory of Laura, lets all do something nice for someone!
Enjoy!

Report: Sale of Yankees explored
Found 7 hours ago on NESN.com:
PLAYERS: Hal Steinbrenner, George Steinbrenner
TEAMS: New York Yankees

The Steinbrenner name has been synonymous with the Yankees since George Steinbrenner bought the club for $8.8 million back in 1973. Could that long-running tenure be coming to an end soon? The New York Daily News reports that it is a possibility. According to the report, Yankees ownership is exploring the possiblity of selling the team. "There has been chatter all around the banking and financial industries in the city for a couple of weeks now," a source told the New York Daily News. Unsurprisingly, Yankees ownership has chimed in on the story, and they're shooting it down

Happy Friday people!
As much as I hate working on the Friday before a holiday, I love the drive into work, as there is not another living breathing soul on the road, good times!
I am at work, did not get today off, as I was last man on the totem pole to ask for it, so lesson learned! Anastasia has planned out picnic for this weekend, so we will see how that goes! She was incharge of the menu
I am guessing chicken sandwich's, chips and cherry pie, anyone disagree with that?
Enjoy the glorious weekend promised us by the weather people

Back in WNY after an all too short time in Mass. Auntie is staying on to babysit so I will have to find things to amuse myself. Talked to Mom last nite and it sounds as if AB's prediction was pretty close, except for the strawberry shortcake. Plus, apparently she is heading back to watch/encourage the weeding that will be gooing on today. Enjoy the "muggies"

Why was my sister shouting??
How fabulous was this past long weekend, show of hands. Just as I suspected everyone's hand is in the air! Spent Saturday garden shopping with Cookie, fun time.
sunday had anastasia over and she picked the menu, yes it was chicken for all those non-believers out there! And Monday, had burgers and hot dogs on the grill, puttered, and just enjoyed the day! Anastasia sat on the deck, drank beer, and listened to Patriotic songs! Rick posted on his radio stations web site blog, about the birthday card that GG had sent Stacy, and Jnna read it to her twice, and she wanted to know how many hits it had! too funny! Well it is already Tuesday, how fun is that!
Enjoy the day!

Happy Wed! Gheesh it feels like I have worked a full week already!
Have a work dinner tonight at Gordon Biersch, in the Galleria, anybody been there? I looked it up online and it looks pretty fun!
Other than that, everything else is pretty status quo.
Hope my sister is feeling better, heard she was under the weather.
Hope my brother enjoys his bachelor week!
Other than that, just livin for the weekend!

Betsy said...

Happy Friday eve!! Had a very nice evening with Co workers at Gordon Biersch's at the Gallerira, good food, good beer! I had lobster and shrimp taco's yum yum!
We got our invitation to the Girl's baptism yesterday, of course, we will be there, I can bring Gramma, unless of course someone else wants too??? Chuck, do you think she could walk from the parking lot to the church or no? Can not remember how far it is? I can get her a wheelchair if she wants to come to the church.
Please advise, what can I bring??
Hope the weather is as nice for our June party as it was for our Feb party! What a hoot that was, sitting outside in Feb!!
Oh well better get to work!
Have a second cup of coffee all, its Thursday!

Betsy said...

Happy Friday
Finally here, weekend not looking to promising. Enjoy the day

Well, it's Sat. and Auntie is scheduled to return from her babysitting gig in Quincy. Just in time to celebrate the Big 9-0 tomorrow for "Rottin' Rodney" (Mom refers to him as "the kid"). AP is scheduled to spend a few days here before she heads off to Atlanta for another round of babysitting. I know, I know. What about me??? Graduation tomorrow and the weather does not look all that promising. Gotta get the house back in shape before inspection this afternoon. Enjoy the weekend.

Pretty decent day... Looked like a typical Adirondack summer day and felt like it too. I made chicken wing soup for the first time and it was delicious. Even Zach thought it was good... Then he ran off late for soccer practice.

Rainy weekend! Of course I had the best of intentions on getting some work done. But, the weekend just flew by! Now I am awaiting arrival of Anastasia.

The Yankees win... The Yankeeeeeees win! And I didn't have Phil Hughes in my lineup... I'm sure Unckie did (Yankee lover).

Betsy said...

ugh to Monday!
Happy Belated Birthday to Rod Bunts, I hope he had a great birthday party! As he deserves it!
I hope everyone spent the weekend watching the Queen's golden jubilee! Love that BBC America channel!
Glad AP made it home safe and sound!
The most important thing about a goal is having one! Saying for the month on my calendar, just thought I would share!

unk said...

Rod seemed to enjoy his b-day. I knew I should have kept Hughes, but at least I still have Andy and he is going tomorrow nite. Go Yanks! I can't believe that I just typed that.I don't care if Tiger did chip in, the best highlight was George "the Animal" Steele eating the baseball before he threw out the first pitch yesterday in Rochester. If you didn't see it on Sports Center, you need to. I don't think that I will go into work today. That will be my goal. Uplifting words from my sister. Enjoy the day, the week, and whatever else.

Betsy said...

awesome goal, brother!
And again, at least you have one!

Betsy said...

We have made it to Tuesday!
Nice pict of Rob and Eric on FB
Nice pict of Jff & Sndra on FB
Very excited for the baptism!
How about the Thunder, did you ever think they would dominate SA like they have?? I know I know, me too!
Hope the kings win it all, and end the painful hockey season.
other than that, nothing else
The sun is out though, thats a good sign right???
Out of sorts, no banana for breakfast!

unkie said...

And I have a goal again for today. Get my 3 classes taught and get my hair cut. I guess that would be 2 goals wouldn't it? And, if it stays dry, get part of my lawn mowed. I am up to 3. This is going to be one busy day. Goal for AB: buy bananas.

Betsy said...

Happy Wed! Hey at least its not Monday!
The weather this weekend is suppose to be fantastic, so that is good news!
The Kings can win it all tonight, so mercifully hockey will be over!
Got my banana's last night
so that can be checked off my list of to do's!
Other than that, take it one step at a time!

My goal for today: gO to work on time and go to the gym. Wait, that's two! Austin has final exams starting on monday. Then he will be a super super senior! In the blink of an eye. Where did the time go? - jenna

unk said...

We have become a goal-oriented family. I love it! I did finish my classes and got my hair cut yesterday but fell short on the mowing. I did sit out back and drink beer while my wife drank wine, but that was not really a goal so does it count? And I only saw the "Venus transit" on tv. I have to stop now since I am beginning to feel like a failure. Try to enjoy the day. Did anyone figure out how/why Ms. Fixxitt double posted all in shouts?

jt said...

I was there when Mrs. Fixxit was shouting... 'the sea was angry that day my friends".

I too had a beer outside yesterday AND it was also my goal... it counts.

Betsy said...

Happy thursday, or in the kaleidaworld happy pay day!
Jaime Moyer pitching saturday nite at the bisons game, fyi!
goals today are to complete a project my boss gave me 2 weeks ago, I kind of forgot about it, is that bad??
Enjoy the day and all that it brings!

Betsy said...

Hip hip hooray, its Friday!
So next week, I have to attend a conference, I know I know me too!
What exciting metropolitan city will I be jetting off to, you ask??
Is it NYC? Washington? Boston?, nope none of those, it is Rochester! I will be in the Lilac City next week, eatin at the Dinosaur and taking in BB games! Oh and attending mandatory ICD 10 training, yea yea that too!
So our awesome austin is coming tonight, before he has exams next week, keeping our fingers crossed he does well!
Have a fab Friday, and remember one foot in front of the other!

unk said...

Leave it to my sister to come up with the perks. Actually, there are lots worse places to spend a week. Plus, I thought that I could sneak "misrembering Andy" thru to grab another pitcher but Sis was over that in a heartbeat. Auntie is heading for Hotlanta in a few hours and I will be alone once again. I don't have anything "starwarsy" so the Bisons are out and I am getting pounded in HFFBB by my son in law who is only using 6 players. This does not bode well for a great weekend. Enjoy it anyhow and good luck nphw stn on those exams.

JT said...

I golfed yesterday. That's pretty much where it ends. I was horrible... Thank goodness I wasn't working, the sun was shining (proof of the sunburn on my neck) and the beer was free. I need to get out more.

unk said...

Sis is probably on her wayto Rochester so I will take the responsibility of welcoming everyone to another Monday. Seems as tho Mom is having coffee maker problems despite the best efforts of AB and nc jnn to remedy assistance. Too much technology. I am still alone as Auntie continues her babysitting gig in Wetlanta. Long day at school today with a meeting tonite at 7. Maybe we will get a new Rochester blog after AB returns? Enjoy the day. It's going to be a hot one.

So what has been going on, anything?
Looks like not to much.
Happy Fathers day weekend to all.
The conference was a good time, good information, fun time, ate at the dinosaur, even better
No ball games though
Coffee pot update for Gramma, there is none, I will have to resolve that this weekend.
Other than that enjoy Friday eve!

Hip Hip Hooray, its Friday!

So lets hear it for Austin passing Chemistry!!!! It was touch and go, but he pulled through it.
So who is on there way to the Falls for the big event tonight, any one? Yea me neither!
I walk a tightrope and a fine line every day! No biggie
Enjoy the day and all that it brings

How to enjoy the most special day of the year today, that is the big Q?

OK this is kind of funny, I was informed by the commish, that I have RA Dickey, not that I dont pay attention or anything, but apparently I picked him up 3 weeks ago when he became a free agent.
So you people had your chance!
Does everyone like the new time warner enhancements??
coffee is exceptionally good today, that makes for a good day!

We have FIOS...
Is it hot out there today or is it just me?

Betsy said...

Keep us posted on your liking of FIOS? I know its cheaper, but you dont get the My9 Yankee games correct?
It was way to hot yesterday, hope that is not our summer!
So not sure if everyone is aware but all the new residents start at the hospitals over the next two weeks, so I have been busy busy busy! Part of my role is to assure that they all have access to the electronic medical record, know how to use it, and can dictate, i know i know me too!
So in going through all the requests I put together a pie chart, no I did not really, but was just curious where our residents came from, and here are my unofficial findings. The most common state is New Jersey! we have one gentleman coming from Israel, and 3 incoming residents mispelled their speciality of Pediatrics. The second most common state is Denver. Just a little factoid for the day.
Enjoy it before it rains!

Yankees won, and Austin has 2 interviews! Looks like a beautiful day! Hope my brother and SIL are rested up from the whirlwind weekend!
busy day, orientation for the new residents, so that is always interesting, no one ever looks at you, they do not pick their heads up from their phones!
Jnna is working the primary today, I truly do not believe local govt has no clue what they are in for!
And I see the half marathon is back on, jll was running in that.
Other than that, that is all the news that is the news, now who used to say that???
One foot in front of the other!

Things are really hoping with the Kochs. On the other hand, it is a whole lot quieter here. Quincy Holtzes were at the airport at 4:30 AM and safely back in Boston. Can't begin to thank everyone enuf for taking the time to come here and make Sunday as special as it was. We all spent most of sunday nite talking about how lucky we are to have the family that we do. It was a most memorable day and made so by all of the people who helped to celebrate it. With Uncle Paul in Rochester and nc jnn in Tonawanda both working today's primary, I am sure that they will have stories to swap. Enjoy the day all. Much better here than in Fla.

THANK YOU!
we are a lucky lucky family indeed to have a christening as fun as that one was. It was great to see you all and celebrate. the flight home was just as smooth as the flight up -- Elizabeth did NOT sleep, but her sister slept enough for the both of them. Guess which one I got to hold? :)

Mark your calendars now for next year's party, which we are titling the no major life event celebration! NMLEC!

will these be a hundred comment blog? We have not had one of those in a long time!
so double whammy at the Yankees, CC and Pettite! ouch
so 4th of July holiday next week, everyone have major plans or minor plans?
Awesome austin is now gainfully employed he begins his McDonalds stint on Friday!
NMLEC! Sounds fabulous! Will it be costume themed? I hope so!
So one of the workers brought in Paula's donuts this AM, 3 dozen and they are right outside my office door! I will spend the whole day trying not to think about them!
Have a wonderful day!

3 dozen donuts outside the door? Now that calls for will power. Way to go Austin! Statistically 10% of the American work force has worked for Mickey D's at some point in their life. You are in good company. Was at the Bisons game yesterday and met up with Mr. Fixxitt. Got drizzled on for a few innings, but it was a rare Bison victory and a lot of fun. Apparently Matt has insisted that his mother throw him a b-day party this sunday so that will be a good start to the holiday weekend. Wed. we head south to meet up with the Holtz/Twombleys and I have my tickets for the WV Power on wed. the Greenville SC drive on thurs. and the Savannah SandNats on Friday. It's all coming together nicely. Enjoy the day

all this is missing from that trip is a visit to the Rome Braves and the Augusta Green Jackets!
OBTW, I had a donut.

Had an interesting day working the primary. No comments about Obamacare? Apparently they are going to tax the health insurance. Anything else they want to tax? There goes retiring at 65!
Jll is running the half marathon on Saturday. I will be there cheering her on at the 50 yd line at Ralph Wilson. I will be the one holding a sign that says Future SB Champs Bills! Herm Edwards predicted the Blls will make the playoffs. That's all I have!

Happy birthday to my dad, the awesome unkie and pop-pop! We treated him to a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday at 8am this morning. Caroline definately got my voice. We love you!

who can work today it is way to nice! Dropped our awesome Austin off at McD's promptly 15 minutes prior to his starting time, his aunt reminded him that yes he can change the world one burger at a time! Other than that its Friday and there are still donuts left from yesterday!

How fitting that I am comment # 100! Happy belated bd Unkie. I had a cold one in your honor yesterday and then a second cold one for many more birthdays and then by the third cold one I was feeling tipsy so I had to stop. So proud of Austin and all his success in his first day. He received his schedule and did not bat an eye when he saw his name posted for July 4th. His reply, of course I am the low man on the totem pole. We had a discussion about taxes and how much he would receive and how much would go back to the government. We talked about how he pays for Social Security. His reply was he would get it all back during tax season.
Heading to Ralph Wilson Stadium to cheer on Jll as she completes her half marathon today. I wonder if towards the end I could run with her and make it look like I ran the entire way without breaking a sweat? Off to start my day everyone.. Enjoy yours!

Pretty quiet here for a few days. Looking forward to heading south to join up with the Holtz-Twombleys later this week and only hoping that it cools down just a bit. Other than that, gotta get the lawn done before it heats up today. Enjoy the day.

So the irony last night at the baseball game is that it is the West Va. "power" and only about half of the people here are lucky enough to have it after the storm last week. What a mess! Trying to find a rest. open on the 4th, with electricity was a challenge. 100 degrees at first pitch. I lasted for 4 innings and it was back to our hotel populated primarily by repairmen. Hope everyone enjoyed the 4th

so I am back to work after being off for a few days, and i have to say, UGH!
Hope everyone enjoyed the 4th, and all the heat!

Happy Thursday! Had a great time at the allstar game last night! Say what you will, but the Bisons, they do it right! Tom Seaver threw out the first pitch, so I can cross that off my pail list, " saw Tom Terrific pitch". Trying to coast at work, do you think anyone will notice?

Grateful for Friday! So work has been kind of boring this week, lots of people on vacation, my boss moved her office, farther away from me, which is always a good thing! So I saw on FB that the Rice's attended a Wed Evening Concert at the Larking Bldg, hope you enjoyed it! Larkin Sq is very nice on these beautiful summer days! so I wanted to change the name of my HFFBBT to the Great Lakes Loons, but I am in first place so I dont want to jinx that!
And I thougth my brother was on vacation, so how is he managing his team?? Just waiting for lunch!
Have a great weekend!

a double ugh to Monday! Had a great weekend! Saturday did the city of tonawanda garden walk with my sister only we rode our bikes! It was most enjoyable! Some great green thumbs in the COT! Sunday was my usual day with Anastasia, and she was under the weather, I think this heat takes a toll of everyone! Awesome Austin is settling in nicely as the "grill- master" at McD's.
Other than that just sitting her thinking of when to take my next day off!

What about the garden ride with daughter? Sitting at jury duty trying to understand what times were like here prior to computers and cell phones? Seeing as every single one of us are utilizing those resources. Looking forward to our lunch break!
