I know there will be many pictures up from the storm that shocked the world. Hillary Clinton has just declared Western New York a "natural disaster area". Our cable has just been restored, so I am able to blog. The pictures will explain everything. I can blog much more later. I wanted to get these pictures up to reach our fan base ASAP.
A twenty minute ride from work turned into over an hour on Thursday night.
This picture was taken on the way home from work Thursday at around 6pm. Who would have known this was the start of 425,000 Western New Yorkers to be without power?
Apparently mother nature had a different idea in mind as the tree sitting in front of the house came crashing down on the rented KIA. Luckily no damage was done, but she withheld the weather.
This was a portion of the tree that collapsed on the front lawn of the house. Most neighbors used power saws to take care of the damage on the lawns. (Not my sissy, she used her bare hands).

unbelievable! holy cow -- that's some real january-style snow!
Are things melting yet?
This is going to get some serious commentary as I'm sending pics to all my non b-lo friends for the shock and awe value ...
Thank God that Hillary declared us to be a "natural" disaster area and not just a disaster area. I thought that they were going to rename FEMA in the hopes that it would do a better job? Even if I hadn't got my cable back, I would still have been able to watch the Bills since they were on Channel 4. Why did it take Buffalo cops to get the generator to Mr. Fixit? Great pics jnn. That should bring an outpouring of sympathy, if not cash, from around the world-wide-web.
Linda is back on line which is a good thing because of all of the special equipment which Matt needs. Otherwise, a beautiful day today which led to my going to play golf---not in the northtowns of course--but an enjoyable nine holes and +31 golf balls, and that is what it is all about. How about them bills!!!
Happy 1st birthday www.holtzfamilychristmas.blogspot.com
Nice! Happy birthday blog! Its been a great year!
Caught a peek of some of the mess yesterday in Lackawanna and O. Park. Amazing. I thought that the ice storm back in 76 was bad, but this is on a par. Hang in there all.
Lunch at Squires and to Tops. Mom has avoided purchasing anything remotely approaching a vegetable for the 42nd consecutive time. Chips, cookies, candy, a single donut, wafer thin ham, bread---some would say this is heavily slanted toward carbs---oh yes, and ice cream cones. The good news was that a mandatory stop at the al kaida controlled convenience store led to a 25 and a 2 dollar winnerfrom the first two purchases, although she did admit that card number three did not look promising.
