Graduation, at every level is exciting! And the graduating class from Dundee Middle School was no exception!
They had there, perfect attendance award winners, no not Austin, they had there Science and Math winners, no not Austin, they had there Art winners, no not Austin, But Austin did get his diploma so that was a positive thing! And we did set some goals for 7th grade.
After graduation, we took Austin to Captains Cove, his favorite restaurant on Seneca Lake in Watkins Glen. Then after lunch we took the boat tour around Seneca Lake.
Then of course last weekend, Jill moved into her own apt.
She is an experienced mover, and can pretty much cram all of her belongings into any mid size car!
For Rent sign was taken down that afternoon!
The other end of this couch that my daughter garbage picked, is her boyfriend Gary 
, who I might add is also a diehard Yankee fan!

First post and I have to be up at 5AM to do it.
Very nice pics and storyline. Congrats to Austin and Thrllie for there big changes. Good luck Austin in 7th grade... set a good example for the other kids.
Now THAT is a blog worth waiting for!! It had everything; I can't believe, altho Mom did describe it, how Austin is shooting up. Seventh grade now, unbelievable. I am guessing that nc jnn, also known as the Grand Marshall of the EA 4th of july held on the 3rd parade, was the photo journalist. The last picture brought a little tear to my eye , but then you had to go and do the "Yankee fan" thing. And jt emerges from self-imposed isolation with a 5am post. Hope that everyone had a good, be it a rather soggy 4th. Mathew's birthday party went on as scheduled despite the fact that the dogs and burgers were cooked in a monsoon. Anybody hear if the "Ted's for hotdogs run" was completed successfully at the home?
Just read the last comments on the previous blog with the jill news and pilaf story. Congrats jll. Sounds like this will be quite a job. I can see you now on the witness stand testifying in various workman comp fraud cases. This is the stuff of tv drama. Was it a tough decision to leave the folks and HD behind? Were you allowed to take your packing case used for stakeouts with you as a memory of good times past? Glad that the pilafs were not any closer to the action. that had to be terrifying watching it all come down. Those rainstorms down there are unbelievable. The bottom line is that everyone is safe and sound and things are going well for all. Have a good one. Is today like a Monday or a Thursday?

Still no cable/internet at the new apartment. Apparently the cable tech requires a letter from the landlord stating they are allowed to drill holes in the floor. Did anyone else know that???
FYI JFF...While moving the entertainment center from your garage I forgot the shelves. Gotta come back and get them some day
with nephew still vacationing like a member of congress, I thought for sure there vacation blog would be up today???

It did not feel like a monday nor a thursday in the working world, possibly a tuesday.
tomorrow I am snack mom for the tigers...mmmmm what can I bring, as Austin is called the new kid I think it is impt to wow them with a good snack so he will be known as the kid who brings good snacks not the new kid. I will have to think about this.

Seems she has a marriange proposal, the second baseman from Perna Funeral Home is quite smitten with her. Seems she expands the strike zone for him!
As Perna won, 1-0, I am thinking a spring wedding, and seriously we have not had an undertaker in the family since colleen divorced Don Creasey!

What a beautiful day it is today. As I dragged Austin out of bed this morning we went to the Tiki Hut for breakfast. We spotted Mrs. Fix it who was there with friends.
Now Austin and I are headed to putt-putt. If there is a Holtzapalooza golf rematch; I will be getting my practice in.

As my father would say, memorial day is over, 4th of july is over, summer is over. So I quess it makes sense to prepare for labor day.

Hello family, we're safe and sound back from camping in Allegany. The kids had a really nice time and it was the best weather. Plenty o' pics.

ahhh sunday is winding down, and it is raining, just took my mother home who we picked up to show her cookies new "crib" and in her words,now she wont worry. So cookie and I shopped today, which is always kind of exhausting as she is a professional shopper, but always fun!
Seems my sister took my mother to the tiki hutt for lunch and she had dinner with us, so all in all I think she had a good day. She has not seen Ruth, so were not sure where she is.

I was very surprised to see my abacus in a box and a new, er... calculator (I beieve) on my desk. Thank goodness it came with instructions.

thank god you're leaving the depot, as I have a serious bone to pick with them. I bought and paid for a lawnmower, and after 20 minutes of waiting for a "MANAGER" to come and unlock the thing for me to take home, Irealized that the cable tying the mower to the property was not preventing the mower from being removed. Upon getting said mower home, I realized that it was filled with gas and ready for me to start up. Apparently, some doofus bought the mower last night, brought it home, filled it with diesel fuel and returned it to the depot after it wouldn't start. So the put the thing back out for sale.
