BEWARE & BE WARNED!

You asked for it so here it is. Double click on the recipe and it will get bigger which will allow you to actually read it!
The last part about making it 4-5 days ahead of time is vital to the mellowness.

Beat until stiff?? I am not sure that all of this is appropriate for a general audience. I have a hunch that with this family there is no way that such a concoction will last 4-5 days.

Beat until stiff? Quite the opposite... I really must say.

I have no idea why critics say this Holiday drink is unhealthy and fattening. Whats wrong with 12 eggs, a quart of heavy cream, and a quart of WHOLE milk??

I forgot to tell nc jll not to drive into the Crazy Horse monument. Just look at it from the highway outside. They charge a lot for not very much. The crazy guy Korzak who started it refused any federal gov't money for the project so that is why they rip off, or try to rip off, the public. Point of interest, I had the sculptors grand-nephew as a student at Cardinal Dougherty back in the 60's. He was a bit unusual too.

That crazy "circle of life".

I notice the not in a plastic jug was capitalized?? Is that why we used the glass lemonda decanter, and the no plastic jug, is that so some youngun does'nt pour it on his cheerios?
If KDH has started the nog it has a little over 5 weeks to blend. Personally having finished the jug off last yr, I can attest to the longer blending time, being well worth the wait!

I hope KDH wraps her drink recipe book up as a secret santa gift. I love it.

Tools took one on the chin last night 8-1 in the OP floor hockey league. We didn't have a goalie and we were missing our best two players. I'm getting too old for this.

Big day today "IT'S FRIDAY", I wait all week for this day. Plus, the kids are staying at the fixxits tonight, so me and the Mrs. can get naughty. Don't tell the Mrs. though I want to surprise her.

I have an idea JT, if we make Nog every Monday, it would be ready every Friday. Just one more reason to enjoy the day! I priced out the cost of the Nog, 63.75$ and well worth every penny!
Had dinner with thrillie last evening at Athena's, dont tell Mom, and she was not too complimentary on rapid city, so maybe I will cross that off on my list of things I must do before I die.
Thrillie is off to San Francisco on Monday, mmmm could we all be getting "Free Barry Bonds" T shirts??
Enjoy this friday friends and families its at least another 7 days before it comes again

Currently watching the snow swirl around outside. And the huge waves crashing into the barricade in the lake. I have got a pretty good view except the snow flakes are starting to cover my window and obstruct my view.

By the way this is Jill, but since when do I have to put a pasword in!

Just click on Nickname now... I believe it's acting as "other".

I love the egg nog idea. We can have a family happpy hour every Friday. I love it!

Thrllie, off to San Fran? That's Awesome! (I originally had a period after awesome, but that wasn't what I was feeling inside, it just wasn't enough).

I'm thinking of a place that Sandra and I can go to tonight. And I'm falling back on Current's on the Island. We can use the book.

Auntie P and KDH HELP!!!!

So my company Christmas Party is on Dec 14th at the Roycroft Inn. What do I wear? I hear it is fancy there!

Jff and sandra you were'nt at the clinton campaign HQ in Rochester, this evening now were you???

OMG.. are you kidding me? That's the last place you would have found the two of us (not trying to be political), not to mention, we're not allowed within 500 feet of her anymore. I thought she looked good covered in goose poop. Hmmmm... who'd a thought?

Jnna, if I may make a suggestion about attire, always were shoes. Trust me, I tried it once barefoot (with a dark suit) and you wouldn't believe the flack I took for it. Everybody was calling me Jed Clampit and I didn't know why. Thank you Google.

A very cold and snowy and slippery saturday in WNY. be careful out there.
I fully understand the hostage takers position, he wanted to talk to his senator, unfortunately she has been no where near NY state for months, drastic times, drastic measures.
GO TE!

hey family and happy Saturday!
I'm working. its countdown to the proposal deadline. But at least its sunny here in the ATL -- even googlenews reported on the nasty weather in my home town!

The roycroft, eh? it IS fancy there. I don't think you can go wrong with a black dress. Awesome shoes always help dress up an outfit -- but it gets cold in there, so bring a wrap for sure. Maybe something sparkly for the holidays and all. Does that help? Mom, any advice to add?

ps -- re: eggnog. Making it 4 -5 days ahead is key for mellowness, but its also necessary to allow the bourbon to work its antiseptic magic on the raw eggs. Danger will robinson!

mmmmm -- I can taste it already. I'll be bringing a jugful for the party!

After we finish off "the nog" we can start a jugband. I get to play the washboard.

Slippery, slippery out there today.

Sandra and I had a wonderful time last night at The Eagle House. She had a pork chop (not just a pork chop mind you, but a pooooorrrrk chop) and I got the blackened cajjun shrimp linguini. Mmmmmmmm... Of course everything taste better with a Guinness washing it down. And then with no kids, went home and finished off Season 1 of Heroes. Good times, good times.

Does anyone else watch Heroes? How did Gabrielle survive? We missed that one...saw the sword go right through him...then what happened 'cause he is pretty active in year 2.

I love Wegmans!
That is all I am going to say!
Just for all to know after much discussion the Holtz family Christmas will be held at 1298 Nash Rd North Tonawanda. My sister and I have decided to do every other. The menu will be the same, except I really think we need less food and more eggnog, I am voting for the nog!
So KDH 4-5 days does not kill the salmonella??? dang, that is disheartening.

One more thing, we are all very much in a quandry re the pirate gift. My sister did remind me that even though her lint brushes were dissed by the masses, secretly jff and sandra stopped by to use. So maybe more lint brushes will appear this year!

Anonymous said...

4 -5 days will do it. 45 minutes will not. I'm just saying ...

Anonymous said...

Where would the world be with out lint brushes.
There is no pirate gift quandry, every year there has to be a bummer gift. Ya gotta live with it.

I have a lil' snow in my driveway. Anyone else?

Did anyone else notice that the Yankees are playing in Pittsburgh 6/24-26th. Sandra told me to get some tickets. Anyone else interested?

Ah yes, that first wonderful opportunity of the season to shovel the drive. And on 12-2 at that. It bodes well for a delightful winter season. Two and a half hours until kickoff. Yeah Trent! Boo J.P.! At least for this week.

Anonymous said...

I can't boo JP.

Now it's raining... what a waste of shoveling time. I could of hid inside for four hours instead.

Anonymous said...

Jff, can we get tickets now? They have not gone on sale yet, have they? If so absolutely, Me and george will go! Thrillie, are you in? Gary the good gary, are you in? Unkie, how about you, are you up for a road trip?
