How fast this year has gone by. I loved Oliver at first sight and that love has grown and grown. Happy Birthday to my favorite grandson!

Already been a year??? hard to believe. You are just about a perfect grandson, but you do need a little more help from your dad on your fantasy baseball team, especially when you are playing Koch's and Rice's. Enjoy your day, I will be thinking about you.

Happy Birthday Cousin O! I can't wait to see you!

awwwwww, how wonderful!!!
1 Year old, and if your Mom and Dad had to stop and get gas while driving to the hospital to have you, they would have pd 70 cents less!!!
Love you and miss you!
Your first BD, have a great one!

Big 1 year! Happy Birthday Oliver! I can't believe its been that long.

Another LL baseball game last night (didn't we just have one) and Zach pitched 3 innings. First inning was a little rough but they stuck with him and he pitched really well in the second and third. The first Reds pitcher to go three innings. He struck out 4, but had a rough night at the plate. After I told him to swing and protect the plate on two strikes he quickly and emotionally retorted, "I can't see the ball". The kid was pretty fast.

Now it's Emma's day. If the rains hold off I'm off to the Bisons today.

happy saturday
Geo got called into work, yea OT
jff, will see you at bison park today if the rain holds!
Yea Nats minor league team!
was hoping to garden today! I have the grandaddy of all Moles that is living in our back yard!
He sits under my favorite deck chair and eats the maple tree spinners, with a smug look on his face. If bill murray was not in the middle of an ugly divorce I would so call him in to evict AKA caddyshack!
Oliver, I hope your first was the best birthday you ever had!

Me, I'm thinking the Bisons for tomorrow, but as long as Emma is realllllly looking forward to her day at the ballpark, I guess that I understand. Received pic of burbin swillin daughter at Oakland A's ballpark and I responded most nastily. Weather is currently putting a crimp into all of the plans that Auntie had outdoors for me today. Calledand sang for O last nite, but he wanted none of it. teething will do that to you I guess. Anybody part of last nite's Guiness Record fishfry? I know that nphw probably had his own Guiness record after last nite's game. If JT can figure out how to teach Zach to hit what he can't see, he has a new career ahead of him as ML hitting coach. Enjoy the day all, and good luck with your backyard guest AB.

Changed plans midstream... now Zach and I are off to watch his opponents play at the LL park (much cheaper). The games are free and hamburgers are only $1.50. And I can get the meal plan for $3.50. Need I say more.

How can you respond nastily to bourbn' swillin' daughter pic in Oakland? What could she possibly have done to you?

Unckie, I need a golf outing soon.

No Sunday comments??? Oh wait, I just made one.

Emma had her dance recital at Villa Maria today and it was really, really good. And that's comin' from a guy. I definitely had fun.

Just emailed pics of Emma's dance day--check your mail.

Kind of a lost weekend. did a little bit of gardening, not much. I am sure my sister will be disappointed in me. Took my mom shopping, and tried to take her to get her hair done, she said maybe this week. We were gonna hook up with jff saturday at the bisons game, but then he changed plans, but we were still gonna go, but then it started pouring! so all in all it was kind of a wash.
Well here we are in June! Hard to believe, isnt it? The year half over already! Enjoy the first monday of the month, all...

Happy Monday one and all. Looks to be a beautiful day here.

Emma was cute, cute, cute!! I think she may have gotten her dancing feet from me!

Anonymous said...

That's a good one (aaaaaahhhh...wipe away tear from eye). Everyone knows her hoofin' came from me (cough).

The Reds took another one on the chin 3-5 tonight losing to the previously 1-9 A's. Zach went 0-2 but hit the ball twice tonight. PO-3, 1-3. So at least he's swingin'. Enjoy your evening, I'm washing away my angst with a Blue light.

Well at least there is some improvement on Zach's team. Let me know when they play this week, I could use a diversion from studying.

so here it is a rainy tuesday! thrillie did not comment on her getting stuck in the hotlanta airport last week, for an inordinate amount of time. She even contemplated a career change, thankfully cooler heads prevailed, and the Neely BarBQue stand opened, and she was appeased.
Rainy Tuesday, UGH
suppose to be 90 this weekend? Did you hear that rumor??
Great Game last nite, on the edge of my seat!!! go sid the kid!
mmm and you guys thought I was talking about the Yankee's
endure the next 7.5 til you can do what you want to do!

I made it through the 190 North yesterday just in time for the Buffao Fire Department to shut it down because of the 3 alarm fire at the pool warehouse. I snapped a couple cool photos on the cell phone of the fire.
Headed to Chicago tomorrow, this one should be more relaxing than last week's trip to Arkansas!

Go Detroit! Not a fan of Sidney and his pornstachio.

Anonymous said...

What a game! I even stayed up for the second overtime (but completely gave up on the third). i'm rooting for the penguins but I think detroit is probably the better team. And I am so sure that Sidney is being teased unmercifully for his poor attempts at beard growth.

Great dancing Emma! Great pitching Zack! More on your bad atl experience jll!

Another game for Zach on Wednesday to try and win that elusive first victory. He might even pitch.
Plus, and a big plus, the hot dogs and burgers are excellent.

I think one of the most challenging things about my new job, is explaining to people why my badge says Elizabeth, yet everyone calls me Betsy.
do I (A), just say its my nickname?
or do I (B) go through the whole Betsy Palmer, whats my line, Gramma version? People do loose interest sometimes???
sigh, these are just some of the problems I encounter daily.

Anonymous said...

Things to ponder about Aunt B, like why does peanut butter and jelly taste so good together ... AND if a train leaves Chicago traveling at...
Soooo, do you tell the whole Betsy story, start the story, see how the audience is reacting to it and then abort, or go with it's a nickname. Good luck.

Bonnaroo is less than a week away.

So much to comment on! Seems like the timing of nc jll is without equal. Be it airport or highway, if it can go wrong, it will. Gramma claims to be the primary source of study help for nc jnn. Any truth to that? Contact with the ball Zach, the hits will come and so will the wins. I keep telling myself that in fantasy bb. Just tell them how close you came to being a Bessie and they will be satisfied with Betsy and no further explanations. Each day that is closer to the end of the school year and my memory becomes clearer as to why I retired. Emma, keep hoofin', the sky's the limit. Ms Fixxitt still maintains that she is a frequent blogger. Can we have an investigation? Stay dry all

Anonymous said...

Are you sure Mrs. Fixxit is bloggin' on the right site? Maybe she's posting on Chas. Hott's Family Blog? Too wierd to explain and yet... it makes perfect sense.

Anonymous said...

I will admit, Grandma and Dorothy have contributed to my studying. You see they call, and then I talk about what I learn.

Anonymous said...

So a little birdie (grandma) told me that Unkie turned his back on Mr. O for a split second while Mr. O caused havoc in the bathroom. Any truth to this?

today is Wed.. I am not a real big fan of Wed. Just so everyone knows.
Thrillie is in Chicago today. If I was in Chicago today, I would go to a cubs game, no question!
Jnna, calls gramma everynite with a word to look up for her, now Jnna has all the info she needs at her fingertips, its called the WWW, but for some reason when she encounters a word, she calls gramma and asks her what it means, no not profanity! The other nite she called and gramma could not read the dictionary, and she got very sad, so jnna overnited her a large print dictionary from barnes and noble, so this tutoring session could continue.. Oh and these words that jnna encounters are the words of the day online..Just something jnna does so either A. gramma feels useful, or B. Gets annoyed!
UC, expound on your "ignoring" your grandson and the mischief he got into!

difficult decision today family -- does kdhrc keep her nose to the grindstone and work away, or head to the Ted for a 110 start with the boys of summer?

True confessions time. I am given very few responsibilities, for obvious reasons, and unfortunately the few I get I generally mess up. Yes, I was entrusted with keeping an eye on the O meister, which I was doing, but after using the facilites I neglected to shut the door. I sat down for just a second to rest my weary, aged bones only to hear splashing and laughing. Seems that he knows where the toilet brush is kept, accessed it, and then proceeded to splash mightily with it, soaking himself and much of the bathroom. this all took place, pinky swear, in no more than a nanosecond. So who gets blamed for the mess??? I ask you, is life fair. Jnn, even tho you are kicking my butt AGAIN in fantasy, I can't hold any hard feelings. Gramma loves being your source. You are a saint. How is it possible for one of my pitchers, notably Oliver Perez of all people, who I only took for obvious reasons, to have an ERA of 162, and no, there is no decimal in there. Although, come to think of it, when I was coaching JV boys b\ball I had a pitcher with an era of infinity I believe. Never recorded an out in four trips to the mound and a total of 30 plus runs given up.

Anonymous, is so my sister!!!!
I would recognize her tone of voice anywhere!
And its June 4TH, how can june have been busy, did she mean may?
And why is she shouting at us???
uhoh, UC, what did the 'rents say when they returned home and found Oliver soaked from the Loo?
Didnt you have a dog that drank from the toilet, how have you not remembered to put the seat down!
I feel your pain, AP!

stuck at O'hare. This was supposed to be a quick day trip. Back in Buffalo at 630pm. However it has slowly turned into one of my more bitter travel experiences. My flight that was supposed to leave at 4pm central time was pushed back to 5 then 520 then 545 then 645 then went back down to 615 and then it was cancelled. Now I am on a 930 flight home. to land in Buffalo at midnight. 4 hours past my original arrival

I'm so sorry Thrillie. I tried looking up creative things about Chicago in hopes of making the situation better. I unfortunately failed miserably. All I could find was the Great Chicago fire. But, Chicago did invent the cracker jacks in 1893 and the zipper in 1896 and the twinkie in 1930 and spray paint in 1941. Okay, I am done. Unfortunately in 1996, Chicago hosted the DNC. O'Hare (where your stranded) began operation in 1955.

Travel Safe.

I want to address my fellow supporters on each and every blog site. The rumors of my departure are premature. I am taking this crusade to the Convention. I have even contacted the Jefferson Republic Party and the Centrist Party in hopes of being endorsed. I urge you to log on to www.hillaryclinton.com to contribute. Even though I have not been to NY in quite sometime, please pick me.

... these are periods. They end a sentence.

,,, these are commas, they slow down your sentence and allow your reader to catch her/his breath and make your subject interesting.

I needed a glass of water and Sandra stood over me for 10 minutes waving a towel after I read that. Wow! I'M EXHAUSTED!!!

ahhh Thursday, such a welcome relief! Poor Poor cookie, after sitting in the OHare Airport for 9 hours, she finally decided to, get a hotel and leave the friendly confines of Ohare, but not before accusing the ticket agent of lying to her, taking away her plan B to get out of chicago, and a few other feathers flew I am sure!
Not quite sure if it was an Ozzie Guillen type tirade, but I am sure it was close.
Cookie's choice of Hotel, the Ohare Hilton, 400$ a nite, and her boss footed the bill. I hope she got room service too!
Great Bison's game yesterday, and all in the 9th too!
Hockey season is over, YEA!
Enjoy today all

Hil, just return to the senate, and be done with it!

90 degrees this week!! I am going to grandma's. She has air conditioning there!

Anonymous said...

Did anyone happen to catch the wrestling match, I mean baseball game?

Anonymous said...

Speaking of baseball, I am breezing through this week in Fantasy. I might take a little break from it and let Unkie catch up.

Well here it is friday, boy did it sneak up on us!
I am not sure if thrillie will tell her whole chicago experience, but she did stop by last nite, and was a little bummed that her 70" flat screen HD TV did not carry the Yankee games or Bravo TV, but her bar was well stocked. Some things is life are a give and take!
And when she returned to the airport, she was flagged for an extra pat down and search. needless to say she is happy to be home!
Stay calm cool and collected to day!
