Bass Season Opens Today... Rabbit Season

I took off on Monday June 12th and went fishing with my Brother-in--law Bill down on Lake Chautauqua. As you can see it was a lil' chilly. We were fishing for perch and crappie and this bass was caught while just looking for a meal. Nice lil' fight on a light weight Mitchell rod & reel, using 2 lb. test. Who was driving the boat?

Hey "Laughing Boy" no more bullets.

It's always catch and release.

I've always heard that Tennessee is the place where the gentlemen are. That was awful nice of that guy to offer Thrllie his peace pipe.

Back from Shiloh and I must admit that my trip was somewhat less eventful than Cookie's. Must be a sign of old age, but the best that I could do was a few beers by the pool in 95 degree heat and an exciting side trip to Elvis'birthplace complete with the story of how the family skipped out on their creditors and headed to memphis when E. was 12. Must admit that i was more than a bit spoiled as we flew in Dr. Miller's plane from Clinton St. to Corinth, MS in about 6 hours. Conversations with Auntie P. and K. indicates that all is going well in Santa Fe and Auntie is due in after midnight tonite. Pretty ugly today, but nphw jff, if youcan fish, you can golf. Are thrillie's new friends and their group coming to Holtzapalooza? they and their generosity would fit right in.

Unckie, I'm workin' on getting back to the links. Getting stronger everyday, my only fear is falling apart on the back nine like Phil yesterday. You're ruthless, you'd never let me forget about it.
