Snowvember

Well snowvember as inappropriately deemed has created havoc on countless people in the Western New York area. I am trapped in a jacuzzi suite at the Hampton Inn (company had paid for my hotel room). But, I must admit, I miss AP's homemade brownies.
I tried to upload a picture from the Tops in East Aurora, but, my phone would not let me. They are calling for 2 feet of snow over the next 2 days.
It took me 4 hours to get to East Aurora. Stay safe!

Buffalo Marathon 2014!

She had her cheering section "patiently" waiting for her to arrive at mile 18 and mile 26. When she approached us at mile 18, her fans dropped the ball as she needed water. The fans were merely rookies and no one had water. She had to run another 2 miles until the watering station. Next time these groupies won't forget the water.
A nail biting race at the end. Cookie placed in the top 1/3 of all runners and placed 32nd in her age group. Needless to say we are all extremely proud of her!

Here she comes nearing the finish line.

Back, by popular demand is a new post! I apologize for dropping the ball on this. I have been extremely busy

Momentary Relief From The Most Horrible Winter EVER !

We had only been in Florida for a few brief moments when we encountered this bad boy and four of his friends. We took this as a warning and vowed not to run over any of his pals or the pythons and panthers that also inhabit Alligator Alley
The fearsome drive proved worthwhile when, at last, we arrived in more hospitable territory. Finally, sand in our toes and a drink in our hands.
Look who we found. Friendly faces and a warm welcome. This was our first attempt at a "selfie". What do you think?
Of course, we had to do the baseball thing! Hammond Stadium in Fort Meyers is home to the Minnesota twins and they got pounded by Tampa Bay. Beautiful night for baseball.
Joe Mauer playing first and, of course, a Molina.
Suddenly there was a disturbance as people started recognizing this guy and asking for his autograph. Turns out that it was none other than the famous George Toma. Just in case his name doesn't ring a bell, he's the guy who has prepared the fields for all the super bowls and he worked on Offerman Stadium field. He is also in the football Hall of Fame and quite the character.
While cruising Naples Harbor, we spotted this decadent. ostentatious baby named "I Got This". Apparently the owner has abandoned ship and is a reported drug dealer. So, who are those people on board?
We said a reluctant good-bye to the sunny south and vowed to return next year for Patti's Birthday, so says Patti.
PS Would you travel with this man?

Something New

Something new to look at.
Here's Zach and my October campin trip this past year.  We had shorts and t-shirt weather which was the complete opposite of the year before where we had 25 degree weather at night with snow.

We had a nice site and the weather could not have been better.  I love fall camping.
