Momentary Relief From The Most Horrible Winter EVER !

We had only been in Florida for a few brief moments when we encountered this bad boy and four of his friends. We took this as a warning and vowed not to run over any of his pals or the pythons and panthers that also inhabit Alligator Alley
The fearsome drive proved worthwhile when, at last, we arrived in more hospitable territory. Finally, sand in our toes and a drink in our hands.
Look who we found. Friendly faces and a warm welcome. This was our first attempt at a "selfie". What do you think?
Of course, we had to do the baseball thing! Hammond Stadium in Fort Meyers is home to the Minnesota twins and they got pounded by Tampa Bay. Beautiful night for baseball.
Joe Mauer playing first and, of course, a Molina.
Suddenly there was a disturbance as people started recognizing this guy and asking for his autograph. Turns out that it was none other than the famous George Toma. Just in case his name doesn't ring a bell, he's the guy who has prepared the fields for all the super bowls and he worked on Offerman Stadium field. He is also in the football Hall of Fame and quite the character.
While cruising Naples Harbor, we spotted this decadent. ostentatious baby named "I Got This". Apparently the owner has abandoned ship and is a reported drug dealer. So, who are those people on board?
We said a reluctant good-bye to the sunny south and vowed to return next year for Patti's Birthday, so says Patti.
PS Would you travel with this man?
