Thank you!!!!!!

It's here! The big day! Please do me a favor and pat yourself on the back, you have all played a special role in my campaign. It's 2:30 am on Election Day, and the last thing the candidate wants to do is sleep. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you to all of you for your love, support, and help during this campaign. I know we have family and friends from all over who will be watching to see how this pans out. I will update as soon as the results come in.
I look at the picture of Gram and think, when she was born, women did not have the right to vote. Now, with the voters support her grand daughter could be the first woman to represent the City of Tonawanda's 4th ward. I sure hope she is proud today.
I would like to give some shout outs (if I may):
Mom/Dad- By far the two that have kept me sane and focused this campaign. Trust me, that was no easy task. From the highs to lows, to the wanting to react to any negative comment, etc. This campaign made me a stronger person. I hope our hard work pays off tonight.
Jill/Gary- Jill is my campaign treasurer. Try getting $5 to go to BK from a generous donor and she will bite your hand off, at least I tried. Thank you to the both of you for all you did. Love ya both!
Awesome Austin- He will be my chauffer today. That will not be an easy task. But, his willingness to help and do what he can speaks volume of the kind of young man he is. I am so stinking proud of him!
David/Sheri/B/T- Your support from Florida means so much to me! Love you all!

This past weekend, my opponent decided to do a last ditch effort and do a lit drop through our ward. As I pulled up to a street, I saw his "army" of kids dropping his letter off door to door. As panic mode set in, my beloved family came to my defense. Thank you to Jeff, Sandra, Emma, and Aunt Sue for helping to distribute over 1,500 letters. You braved the cold weather and helped out more than you know. Thank you! I love ya!

During the course of my campaign we delivered over 8,000 pieces of mail. Thank you to all our volunteers who took time out of their day to help spread my message. Thank you to Becky and her beautiful family for your lit drop two weeks ago. We have had over 20 volunteers assist with phone calls, mailings, etc. You name it, they were there. You all rock! Thank you!

KDH- I have no words! You are an amazing person! Your design team created a logo that was placed on over 200 signs through out our ward. Thank you for all of your love and support! You and your family ROCK!

Adam/Amy- Love you guys! When this is over, put me down for babysitting.

R/S- Rooting all the way from NC! Thank you for everything!

UC/AP- Thank you so much for your support and love! You still have 4 hours to move to the COT in time to cast your vote.

AS/UG- Who am I kidding you won't read this! But, the thank you card is in the mail.

The Stoiber/Bunts family- Thank you so much for your support! Eric, you will make one amazing politician or campaign manager. Your family was a tremendous asset to our team! Thank you!

The point is there are so many people behind the scene, helping, the unsung heroes in this. Whatever happens today, happens. But rest assured, I am one lucky girl to have the family that I have. You are all invited to stop down to the American Legion (Main St, City of Tonawanda). The candidates will be there at 8pm. We will have pizza and wings. Results will start to come in after 9pm.
For my out of town family results can be viewed at any of the following websites:
buffalo news
wivb
wgrz
wkbw

I will also post results on my facebook pages. Grandma said she will wait up until 10pm tonight to hear the news. Love you all! To anyone who I may have missed, it was not intentional by any means! Now, I suppose I should try and get some sleep.

Love you,
Jenna

Our Roadtrip To The Nantahalla (NOC)

One of the many pulloffs to get a great picture
A first:
My first blog using just pictures from my phone.  Who knew that I could join this crazy thing we call technology.  Here's the Nantahalla River, taken from my Aunt and Uncles favorite place to eat.  We arrived to a beautiful day and enjoyed a nice meal.
When I woke up in the morning (first of course) I was always greeted by deer eating my uncles feed that he leaves out.

We had a wonderful time enjoying the NC mounttains, white water rafting and Emma got to go on a ride on my Uncles spider.

We enjoyed the evenings, after I made up a fire, talking and spening time with my aunt and uncle.

We went back to the Nantahalla River for one last dinner.

Off to Rick's in Asheville for a Tourist game at historic McCormick Field.

The kids got to call out the players numbers in the press box for one inning when they came to bat.

The stadium was old but in really nice condition.

Both kids had a REALLY good time at the game.

This picture is out of order, but basically Zach slept no matter where we went.

Rick let the kids stay up in the press box for most of the game and call out names on the PA.  Emma really liked doing that.

Off to West Virginia at the Pipestem Resort.  Here's the view from our balcony.

Sandra and I went dinner and their restaurant and both had the seafood buffet.  Delish.  Here's the view from our table.

Then we went back to our room and had a few drinks out on our deck.  We stayed there for most of the night.

Our Lil' Minor League Baseball Trip

A Minor League Baseball Pictoral
We set up camp and went to our first game to see the Keys play in Frederick, MD.

It was a really nice stadium, new, clean, very nice.

During the 7th inning stretch everyone shakes their keys to rally the team.  Papa thought that his hanky woulld suffiice and we soon were kicked out of the stadium for being Yankee ""wiseguys".
To make up for what he had done he made breakkfast in the morning.
Off to Hagerstown to see the Suns play.   It was an older stadium that smelled of Prohibition .

We traveled up to Pennsylvania to see the Williamsport Crosscutters play.   My father insisted they were called the Lumberjacks.  Me thinks he reads too much of the Tonawanda News.

We had a nice site but no shade for relief.  It was hot.
Last game was in State College to see the Spikes.  Beautiful stadium.   Zach and I were here last year watching Penn State play Ohio State.

4th of July, hot and always in the sun.   Yikes!

Zach loves keeping score.  I taught him well.
We had a great time, had good food, good beer and hopefully we will do it again.

CONGRATULATIONS! Onward and upward!

Words do not adequetely express how incredibly proud we are of our Awesome Austin! What a wonderful graduation night that was held at Artpark to honor 200+ graduating seniors. As the

Valedictorian gave a speech that moved everyone to tears; I thought back at the 13 plus years of schooling our Austin has gone through to become the incredible young man he is today. He was left with some parting words that his classmate reminded him to be the person he wants to be, not what someone else wants him to be. That every door contains an opportunity; and there may be some challenges along the way; but take that opportunity and do not look back. She reminded all of us that if you think the best years of your life were high school; just wait to see what the future has in store. I am so looking forward to watching Austin continue to grow into the man he is today, to reach his goals, to follow his dreams.

Our family blog has kept us all together for many years, helped us keep in touch, post and share many of our lifes memories; weddings, births, even exciting and breaking news moments. One thing is for sure; I am truly blessed I have the family I have.  Way to go Austin! We love you!!!!!!!!

First Family- City of Tonawanda

Well I guess we could say that our campaign is starting to come together. We had our pictures professionally done for our Palm Cards. I think they turned out great! On the back of the palm card we will have the picture of my parents and I along with important phone numbers to call. On the front, will be my picture along with my qualifications.

Let the games begin!

Look To Koch!

Family and Friends,

Last evening at the Democratic Committee Meeting, I was officially endorsed to run for the COT Fourth Ward (by a unanimous vote). I am looking forward to this opportunity to serve the residents of the Fourth Ward and the City of Tonawanda. While this is a new venture for me; I could not do this without your support. I am not by any means a political person but; I have a desire, passion, and commitment to helping people. I want to apologize in advance for any missed family events or leaving early from now to November. I am so thankful to so many people who have already given so much to the campaign. I have a wonderful design logo for my campaign signs, tee shirts, pens, thank you notes, palm cards, etc courtesy of KDH and her amazing graphic designer.
I want to thank you all for your support and love. We are going to work tirelessly (sorry volunteers) to meet with, listen to, and work for the residents. Gram has even agreed to join in on the campaign trail. I already know her schedule is busier than mine; so we will keep her public appearances to a minimum.

Love you all,
Jenna

Super Storm Snowpocageddon 2013. The Snowpocageddonist

If you really want to hear about it The first thing you'll probably want to know is that it all started on Thursday morning.  Amy and 1 day old Benjamin were luxuriating at exquisite Beth Israel resort and retreat.
Benjamin had been escorted to and from a private bath, sauna and circumcision combo, while Amy was resting comfortably trying not to think about how much her womb hurt.

When in I walked; harried, hurried, full of dread- "The Sabres lost...Again!!! Oh, and the storm, its a comin'!" I cried.

"We gotta get out of here!  We gotta get home where its warm and safe!" I said.  "But honey," Amy replied, "I'm hemorrhaging massively.  I just gave birth 18 hours ago."  "Pish posh" was my retort.  "You're fine.  Besides, I need Ben's help hunting, gathering and preparing the homestead."  So we packed up and headed out.
We were greeted at our front door by a human harbinger of the doom that was about to befall us.
A scary sight it was!  Oliver and Audrey did have a wonderful time bonding with their little brother...
The storm started off innocently enough.  Just a bit of snow.

But then... it happened!

At 7:23 IT HAPPENED!  We tried to make the most of it at first.  Candles, parcheezi, books.  It was quite nice for a while...

But then it got cold.  Really freaking cold!!!

So we decided to get the hell out of Dodge.  But wait!  Where did I park my car?

There it is.  3rd lump on the left.  So we disobeyed the governor's orders and joined the exodus.  Driving was slow...

But we finally made it to our salvation.  The Hampton Inn!  And we lived happily ever after.  Until the power went out at the hotel on sunday morning at 11am.  But that, as they say, is another story.
